Hi all, the wife and I have been enjoying the series Suits. . . . are there any others similar or if not what is your favourite? TIA

I was really into that, I've just watched S8 as it was on Paramount recently, and am hoping they'll put S9 (the final series) on at some point as watching online isn't really something my broadband is happy with.

I can't help on anything similar, as most of the new stuff seems to be on netflix/amazon/sky which I don't really do. Did you watch "Spooks" when that was on BBC? I thought that was great, though it's quite different from Suits. I enjoyed most of "Hustle", as well, from around the same time. Both made by Kudos.

I have been watching "Scorpion" (well, I've been recording it in case they show one I haven't seen) which is quite good, but in a cringey way sometimes. It's a bit like "CSI Cyber" in that there's always a moral lesson in there somewhere, and some doubtful tech.

Suits is great, almost made me want to work 100 hours a week in a NYC office. Not a huge amount similar, but loads of great stuff around. How about:

Firefly - similar in terms of the snappy dialogue
Friday Night Lights - based around an American High School football team, but really about life. Best example of a married couple on tv.
Battlestar Galactica - sci fi, but so much more than that
Better Call Saul
Spaced - best British sitcom I reckon, just out on Netflix
Alias
Sopranos and The Wire - just in case you haven't yet.

I'll throw in Murdoch Mysteries if you fancy a bit of vintage Canadian based sleuthing with appearances by characters such as Nicholas Tesla.

Suits starts of really well but goes downhill really rapidly after S4 or 5, I can't remember which.

Oh, and Mr Robot. Has some of the greatest episodes ever put on screen, and yes I do count it alongside The Wire, Sopranos and BB in that regard.

The first 3 seasons of Suits were good IMO, went down hill after that. Another good Netflix series Billions, U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades goes after hedge fund king Bobby "Axe" Axelrod in a battle between two powerful New York figures, very engaging.

Thanks all, I'll try some of your suggestions and would agree the beginning of suits is better than the rest of it. Cheers

I’d recommend The Good Wife, it’s also about lawyers but in a different league to Suits.

Another vote for this, the sequel the good fight, plus Mad men and the marvelous Mrs Maisel.

I enjoyed White Collar too. I am surprised Billions hasn't been mentioned. Basically the same show but it's finance rather than law. Some over egotistical shouty bloke bossing the rest about. What's not to love!

Oof.
The last 3 seasons were a really hard slog. Worth staying with for possibly the worst ending to any series ever though.
