I've just tried watching this - I know it's fictionalised, but have I missed something as it's dreadful and painful...

Is it me?

Same here. I like them both and was looking forward to this.
Disappointed, won't be watching again.

Going against the grain here. I enjoyed it.

No, it's not the greatest sitcom ever. But, I found it an engaging 30 minutes and I look forward to the rest of the series.

Didn't watch it but saw her on another 'comedy' program the other day and she was not really that funny, unfortunately...

Previous owner built it, he just moved his stuff in.

Slightly worried that a large part of why my wife and I enjoyed it is that the two of them are a little bit too close to the two of us... biggrin

We started watching it and after about 15 mins both thought WTAF? I worked it out but my wife has decided it was a lot of old cr@p and she loves John Richardson.

It's feels like one of those mockumentaries that the likes of Whitehouse and Enfield did a while ago. There seemed to be a rash of them. So I got it, but I'm not sure I'll watch another one. I'd be on my own anyway.

The second episode was even better than the first.

They should just talk to them on the sofa, get some real life comedy, and forget all the actors and hopelessly managed situations.

A bit like "The Trip" ... always better when there were no actors. (Though I get that much of the dialogue was scripted, it was still funny).

It was OK but nothing special. I'm grateful to it for jogging my memory about John Thakray though and just spent an enjoyable hour watching this...

I watch it. I don't love it but then I don't dislike it either. Not a bad way to kill half an hour.

I seem to be watching any old st at the moment - but I agree episode 2 is shaping up quite well.

ETA: Episode 4 - Johnathan Ross's Halloween party was scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit though!!
