Do we need a new thread for the latest subscription service?

I've only had a cursory peek but it all appears that there isn't much free content just yet but it would be good to keep tabs on what's available and to hear of recommendations.

Looking at it this morning, not a lot looks like it is going to get me interested yet. More added in the coming months it says.

Added, all 4k and HDR though it seems.

I’ve watched the first episode of The Morning Show and enjoyed it. Despite the actors do not expect a comedy ....

Quite a coincidence, was just wondering if there was such a thread as I've just watched the first three episodes that where released today of a new sci-fi drama called See

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7949218/

"Far in a dystopian future, the human race has lost the sense of sight, and society has had to find new ways to interact, build, hunt, and to survive. All of that is challenged when a set of twins is born with sight"

Stars Jason Momoa, not as cheesy as it sounds but you do find yourself thinking on occasion "Nah, they couldn't do that if they where blind"

I have to say that 'See' does look quite interesting - not enough for a new subscription though

For All Mankind is ok as well

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7772588/

Alternate timeline where Russia landed on the moon first and the space race never ended.

Only watched first episode so far but will keep watching.

Watched the first two episodes of See, enjoyed it so far.
The Queen has a novel way of praying, I would imagine it could increase the numbers at church if it caught on!

This is going to fack with me ‘ed while I’m still watching Michael Dorman in Patriot, but a promising start with some good cinematography and a few interesting cars....

Lot’s of little storylines behind the big picture. Promising.

Does it get better? I watched the first episode and feel like i've been dumped in to the story too soon. I feel nothing for the characters, it all seems overly dramatised and the cast suffers from delusions of grandeur.

Is all of the Morning Show on there already, or is it weekly?

If it's all there I think it'd be worth bingeing during the free week. Otherwise, it seems a bit thin at the moment.

Found the answer. First three episodes are already there, and the final 7 are released weekly from now.

I assume everyone has been offered 12 months free by Apple?

I haven't taken the plunge yet, I haven't spotted anything I fancy the look of (hence why I'm here) and there's no WebOS app.

I think it's free to purchasers of iPhone 11 and apple TV.
Existing punters get a free week or month.

Last month we finally got around to replacing Mrs Beano’s 2012 iPad. Because of that we saw the offer for 12 months free.

Would probably not have been tempted for £££

If you accept the free 12 months for purchasing a new phone does it restrict you to watching it on that device or do you enjoy full benefits of multiple devices including Apple TV through your Apple ID?

All associated with the Apple ID, simply add the Apple ID with the new phone to the Apple TV and it will enable the content, did it the other night and set a reminder to cancel in 11 months and 25 days time biggrin

It's working on multiple devices OK for me (free sub with new iPad), including Amazon Firestick, although the app is only available on certain Fire TV models

I shall be activating my free week at the weekend to see what all the fuss is about. As far as I can tell, all the big shows seem to be available in 4K which is a huge plus. A fiver a month, when compared to other streaming services, really doesn't seem too bad if the quality is up to scratch.

Predictably, I'll be starting with the Morning Show.

All sorted, thanks guys. It picked up the new device seamlessly from the Apple ID

Watched the first few episodes of The Morning Show and really enjoyed it. I didn't realise though, that they would be drip feeding episodes on a weekly basis. I get why they've done it, they want to retain subscibers rather than letting people binge entire seasons during their free trial period.

I've therefore cancelled my auto renewal and will sign up again in a month or two when I'm free to binge these launch shows in their entirety.

The morning show is great but I’m not seeing much else to justify paying for it, especially if you have amazon or Netflix tbh.
