So I ended up having a bit of a row with Sky at the weekend, as they offered me a deal as I was happy with, then did not put the deal on the account, and refused to honour it.

So I cancelled absolutely everything with them, and do not want to give them another penny.

Got new fibre coming next week from Vodafone, and have purchased a Freesat recording box.

My question has anyone managed to use F1 tv pro via a VPN in the uk yet?

You can use it wherever within EU without VPN since that's the EU law. You need to register it outside of UK though since it's not offered here, which means foreign address and CC.

I find this unlikely? In my experience they'd usually get the call listened to and if it was mentioned do their best to honour it?

No it’s a deal they are publishing entertainment + sports in hd for £40, they said they did it Friday night (plus added on kids and broadband to make it £60) so I was happy with that, as was paying £ 55 before, although it started a new 18 month agreement.

Checked Saturday morning, sports not working so logged on to the online account, package showing as completely different to what was agreed.

Spent 3 hours on the phone with 3 agents and 2 managers whom were unable to help all wanted to charge me upwards of £80 a month.

Finally got through to cancellation team still no joy.

Hmm. If it's like Sky Go, Now TV & Virgin Anywhere, you need to use it in the 'home' country every 37 days. There's also the uncertainty as to what'll happen after March next year...
