SAS: Who Dares Wins
Discussion
The milling session (boxing) looked to have told the DS all they needed to know (and indeed they hinted at it). He had nothing to prove, but still went and lamped the other guy. If he'd stood there and taken hit after hit whilst staying calm, I bet they would have thought more of him. They want controlled agression, not "chip on shoulder always something to prove" anger.

A good Sunday evening watch, but I'm surprised the initial screening of the competitors didn't reject them prior to filming.
I suspect they reject a huge amount of people with initial screening. These are ones who they think will fail early, but breaking down wont have a significant impact. Makes for good TV if you get a few shock moments. Also I wonder if they include them as a chance for them to overcome there fears and succeed. They never know until they put them in certain situations.

That happened last time with the guy who was scared of heights/water/masking tape didn't it? Fair play as I seem to remember him gamely battling through to praise and applause by the DS, before getting binned anyway Makes for good TV if you get a few shock moments. Well, not on camera, anyway.Boxer man was a nervous wreck. He had discovered that punching people gave him short term bouts of delight, but underneath that, the bullying had taken its true, long-term toll on his mind.
Watching it now.
that boxer's a unit, he needs an opponent in the spring if anyone is up for it.

On his fb page he says he's on meds for an inherited ailment

OK, watched it all now, he was caught out on the PEDs, extremely naive/moronic to think they would not be discovered and his excuses for not revealing them lame. Then classic countermeasures to one compatriot bring steds into the fore, yet leaving out the crucial info of the contraband PEDs, then more backpeddling on how SAS are compact men, not PED induced monsters like himself.
He took apart that 19 year old lad though.

Seemed a bit harsh & unnecessary IMO
INdeed, as a 30 (profesional no less with a decade of experience) year old up against a 19 year old, with a (can't recall) 4 stone weight advantage? Personally, I would have let the stringy kid build up some confidence, rather than tt him down in two blowsGassing Station | TV, Film, Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
