A bit long in the tooth but still one of the funniest programmes on tv for me.

Agreed.

Only trouble is, the two team captains have long since run out of 'strange but true' stories about themselves.

They had fun with Lee Mack's taxidermy story, but everyone knew it was a lie from the moment he opened the box.

I still enjoy this, and it's helped the last few Saturdays when there's nothing on TV to have three of these, then a few "Not Going Out" afterwards. Bob Mortimer is always good value on wilty. Most memorable for me is Jack Dee commenting on Gaby Roslin's story.

The rant about the bench/door was very funny.

Love this prog... spontaneous humour so much funnier than scripted. Lee, although we all know his 'juxtaposing techniques' is one quick wit.

Bob is great every time he is on the program. His fishing series is really good as well.

Bob Mortimer is downright weird...in a good way.
He comes out with the most outlandish unbelievable stories.....and they invariably turn out to be true smile

I saw a live recording of this in April. Lee Mack and David Mitchell are funny guys and bounce off each other well. The recording goes on forever though. As you would expect a lot of what they do on the live recording doesn't make it to TV due to swearing etc.

You might be interested to know that Brydon, Mack and Mitchell have recently announced their Town to Town tour for next year with the three of them sharing the stage for stand-up and chat.
They aren't going to loads of places so you might have to travel (but they are coming to my town - already got my tickets thumbup).
