What you think of this probably goes along with what you think of MacFarlane. New series coming on Fox, he's recruited as a starship captain with his ex wife as first officer. Many many Star Trek references, Galaxy Quest the TV series?

I'll have a watch of this - Didn't realise that the lead woman was Bobbi from Agents of Shield which is definitely a draw
I also hope it doesn't die on its feet as at least with his cartoons, they can easily be manipulated, but live action like this is potentially harder to manipulate.
Personally, I hope he tries to drop a Roger type character in to this as Roger in AmDad is brilliant

Well this will hopefully shake up the people at CBS working on ST Discovery.
Looks a lot of fun and quite a few Star Trek alumni in there (Bashirs Dad, Cassidy Yates).
Mcfarlane is a trekkie so hopefully it will get a bit of that silly Star Trek magic that we need rather than another dark, miserable, space soap opera.

Well this got a better response than I thought , I liked it too but I thought the replies here about MacFarlane in a live action thing would be somewhere between marmite and Adam Sandler. Happy to be wrong.
I must have missed or forgot Bashir's dad in Star Trek, because I saw him and thought 'Hey, Raj's dad!' . Looking forward to it hopefully being shown on a UK channel, or Amazon/Netflix (Lucifer episodes are put on Amazon Prime the day after they are shown on Fox).
