Anyone else going to be watching this? The latest (and last) trailer is superb!

Every episode is released this Friday on Netflix and should be 'must watch' TV if it lives up to the promise of that trailer.

My weekend is already set aside for a major Netflix binge watch (did the same with HOC Season 4 a couple of weeks back). Season 1 of DD is up there with the best TV I've ever watched.

Currently catching up on the Marvel TV Universe by watching Jessica Jones. It's ok but a bit samey and I can't stand David Tennant, never misses a chance to overact...

Very excited.
I've been avoiding the latest trailer. I prefer to be supprised by the story, rather that working out where the scenes from the trailer will fit into the plot.

It's up on Netflix now. Will hopefully fit in a few episodes over the weekend, I can't binge watch like some though, so will likely get a few weeks from this!

I'm 2 episodes in too... I was worried about it not being as good after Jessica Jones (which was excellent), but I'm instantly hooked all over again.

3 episodes in and have just seen the homage to that scene from season 1! Loving the reworked feel to episodes, each containing a mini-arc that gets resolved to give the feeling of constant progression in some manner.

That stairwell scene is genuinely jaw dropping. You can spot the cuts, but still. Amazing work.

Bernthal is brutal. Elodie Yung is stunning.

Finished the season tonight. Even though I was intending to make it last by watching an episode a night for the next few weeks I just couldn't stop watching.

Holy crap that was fking exceptional.

Every single character got to shine but Bethnal was on a whole different level. Brutal, singular in his focus, totally believable and quite bloody scary at times. His journey through the series was amazing. I really liked Thomas Jane as the Punisher in the (flawed) movie he did. I always liked his take on the character.
Although now I know, Thomas Jane was not the Punisher... John Bethnal is.

That scene in the prison... eek

Roll on season 3 of DD and I cannot wait to see them do a standalone Punisher show.

Up to episode 5, I'm not going to be able to make it last either. Outstanding.

Up to episode 10 and it's outstanding. Particularly liked 8 onwards where it moved up a gear. Quite a few reveals I didn't see coming.

Finished it last night. I can't believe they topped season 1, but they did, by a mile. I think I preferred Jessica Jones, but that's more personal taste than there being anything wrong with Daredevil, quite the opposite. I am a huge Punisher fan, he's the reason I still like comic books as an adult, thanks to my local newsagent getting a few copies when I was a kid and not being familiar with the idea of comics being made for a mature audience. wink Jon Bernthal is exceptional, truly exceptional. Do they give Emmy awards to Netflix shows? Because he needs one, totally believable as a lethal killer yet keeping the damaged and fragile aspects of Frank Castle that make him a great character.

My one tiny gripe - the scene where Punisher chains up Daredevil and forces him to make a choice. That is lifted from 'Welcome Back Frank', one of my favourite Punisher collections, and one of my all-time favourite scenes in comics. I squealed when I saw the early set photos of Daredevil chained up on a rooftop with Punisher and knew they were going to recreate this, so I was really looking forward to it. They executed it brilliantly, but they changed the ending. I think the ending in the comics would have been more interesting and would have given a great bit of soul-searching for Matt Murdoch to go through in the subsequent episodes.

Also, is it just me or has Karen got at least 20 times hotter since season 1?!

I also had planned to watch a few episodes a week, but binged my way through, finishing it last night.
Agree with what's been said about being than season 1, and the excellence of Jon Bethnal. I expect Marvel and Netflix will be changing their plans again to include a Puniisher stand-alone series.
Deborah Woll (Karen Page) has definitely come a little my way since True Blood.
