I've just watched the first season of 'Bosch' and it was excellent. It's based on 3 books by the author Michael Connelly and he's also a screenwriter and a producer on the show. The Lincoln Lawyer is probably his best know work.
Harry Bosch is a LA police Detective in the Hollywood division and it follows his investigation into the death of a young boy whose body is discovered in a shallow grave. It's really well written and acted and I can't recommend it highly enough.
The season is 10 episodes long and is available on Amazon via Amazon Prime subscription, or PAYG. You can get a month's free month's trial for Amazon Prime and it's worth it for this show alone.
Season 2 is about to start in March apparently.
Anyone else seen it?

The books (Michael Connelly) are also well worth a read. (actually the film Lincoln Lawyer was not as good as the book IMO).
Yes, the books are very good. I'm not entirely surprised about the film - I have a copy but have never got around to watching it. jbudgie said:
The series is easily found on the web.
Nothing is terribly easy on the web with my connection.marcosgt said:
I read the first Bosch novel first, which the TV series is based on.
I quite liked the TV series, I'd watch a second series for sure.
The actor playing Bosch got it just about right imo, but they changed some stuff around from the book, partly to bring it forward 40 years.

Yes, Titus Welliver, great name too. His real life son plays him as a boy.I quite liked the TV series, I'd watch a second series for sure.

They've brought it right up to the present day; There was even a reference to Ferguson, Missouri.
Great cast, even a couple of The Wire alumni for good measure.
I've been aware of Welliver for many years and he's always been a competent actor but generally played support roles and normally as a bad guy. Having watched both series of Bosch I'm glad he's become the main character and a good guy for a change. I'd now like to see him play someone downright evil in the lead part as I'm sure he'd excel.
