I've only just stumbled across these.... and I'm obviously late to the party as there are about 500+ episodes already out there. So far I've listened to the ones that focus on weird stuff (UFOs, Bigfoot, Paranormal stuff) as I find it really interesting and enjoy the way that Joe is both interested but quick to question stuff.

Anyone else got any suggestions for episodes worth listening to? (at 1.5 - 3hrs each, I'm not likely to listen to all of them so want to cherry pick the best)

Cheers

JD

You're posting a lot today? Working hard? wink

Joe Rogan is a big car guy if you hadn't noticed. He interviewed Chris Harris and they got on pretty well so makes for a good listen.

You're better looking through and seeing if he's interviewed anyone you know and are interested in.

some of my favourites off the top of my head. But just pick some at random, most are very good.

Dr Rhonda Patrick is always fascinating.
Joey Diaz always has some crazy, funny stories.
Rick Ross is a fascinating story of early 80s coke dealing.
Alex Honnold - Elite free climber
David Choe - artist

I enjoy the vast majority of them. Rogan's style, the freeform and long conversation lets himself and guest(s) really settle in and get comfortable and usually delivers an enjoyable 3 hours whoever he speaks to and whatever the subject matter.
Some of his podcasts with MMA fighters and his standup friends can be a bit of a circle jerk, but usually still worth a listen.

Nope - did that annoying thing of getting in to work super early to get stuff done... only to get stuff dine up to a point where I'm now waiting on stuff from other people. Plus, I am in the enviable position where posting on PH counts as work... can't complain!

I listen to his podcasts every morning on my commute and really enjoy them too.

I'd recommend you checkout episode #589 he did with Chris Harris which is very good. Also his two episodes with Matt Farah, episode #379 and episode #505.

Being a fan of UFC I also like his 'Fight Companion' episodes he does regularly too. Although I don't think these would be too interesting to people who aren't really interested in the sport. He regularly does more informal ones at the end of the month with his friend and comedian Brian Redban discussing what's going viral on the internet and in the news etc which is always good too.

Great tips - thanks all. I also enjoy a bit of UFC, although I haven't watched it in a few years... might give them a listen. I like all the conspiracy theory type ones too, so any tips on ones like that are appreciated!

Duncan Trussell goes off a bit.
John Anthony West has an interesting theory on the Sphinx.
Randal Carlson has some interesting things to say about pre history.

I listened to the Steve-O one the other day on a long drive. If you liked Jackass, give it a listen.

Thanks guys - listened to the Chris Harris one last night and the Rick Ross one this morning which was really good. Got the Jim Jeffries one lined up for tonight... I find him absolutely hilarious normally so I have high hopes!

Rogan is a bit of a blowhard, but seems to be someone who has a little knowledge about a wide range of subjects so can curate (dreadful word) a diverse range of guests.

As hinted to earlier, they are all on YouTube as well (live cameras not just a static background).

As mentioned, his Fight Companions are very entertaining, and the recent episode with Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson (#725) was awesome to listen to. Also episode #723 with Dana White on the flight back from Oz after Ronda Rousey got smashed is interesting, DW sounded emotionally wrecked. Give Joey Diaz's podcast a go, although he can go on a bit but his stories are mental. The Fighter and the Kid also, that's a funny podcast.

I've been getting into his pod casts a lot recently, some are a bit hit and miss, but some have me laughing out loud in my car on my own. definitely make long journeys pass quickly!

ones off the top of my head that i enjoyed are:

  1. 717- steve-o (jackass)
  2. 692- Jay Leno
  3. 686- Jeff Ross(comedian from celebrity roasts)
  4. 661- Rutledge Wood (american top gear)
  5. 633- Alex Winter (bill s preston (aka bill and ted) made some fascinating documentary on the dark web)
  6. 610- Brian Cox (of D-ream and science)
  7. 597- Magnus Walker + Alex Ross (porsche/ gumball stuff)
  8. 589- chris harris
  9. 569- Joe Perry (aerosmith)
  10. 535- Scroobius Pip (british musician/ spoken word artist, also has his own awesome podcast series- distraction pieces)
  11. 526- isaac haxton (professional high stakes/ on-line poker player)
  12. 473- Jim Jefferies (aussie comedian)
  13. 463- Louis Theroux
jesus, there's loads of awesome ones and I've hardly listened any random ones..... Also on top of these I love the ones with Joey 'coco' diaz, he is a very funny guy, does stand up shows with rogan quite regularly.

But my favourite ones are just with Rogan and redban, brian redban is usually there in the background, but they often do podcasts just them talking about random stuff in the news/ on the net. the last one i listened to, they must've been hitting the smoke very hard, they were off chatting some very random stuff, and at one point during a rogan rant about something, you can hear redbans lighter sparking and bong bubbling away in the background......makes for some very funny listening!

I find the Randall Carlson ones better to watch as he usually has plenty of graphs and charts which illustrate what he's talking about.

nice one - I'll work my way through the ones you listed. I also listed to the Dr Stephen Greer #331 (UFO chap), Steve Volk #308 (debunking paranormal stuff...) and the Jeff Muldrum one (about big foot) is good too.

Suddenly my regular 2.5 hour drive home has got more pleasant!

Ive been listening to him since i caught the 'Joe Rogan questions everything' Series, which aired on SyFy (Conspiracies/Bigfoot/chemtrails/windsor hum). Its a pretty good watch too, podcasts were done inbetween the episodes with Duncan Trussel. Episodes between #405 and #446.

  1. 707 michael dowd
  2. 670 michael a. Wood Jr, are 2 recent favourites too!

728 - Ceara Lynch. Only about an hour long, but quite interesting and she sounds as hot as she looks. I may have Googled; she is a professional humiliatrix. biggrin
