Watched it tonight, nice easy going half Jr entertainment. It wasn't meant to be a rip roaring comedy though. It is an insight into 2 friends and their hobby happens to be metal detecting
detecting. Mackenzie Crook was keen to state it wasn't a pass take of this particular hobby, just a look into people and how they spend their spare time etc.
With decent character development it could be very good.

I watched it last night. I probably would have watched it anyway, but was particularly drawn after seeing Toby Jones in Marvellous. It was all set up to be great with a great cast and subject matter .... but it wasn't. It was dull.
I enjoyed the second one a lot more. I wouldn't say I found it funnier, I just liked the programme more and could get into the characters better.Slightly Off thread:
