I never got to the end of it years ago and it's just popped up on Netflix, I love this show! After The Wire I'd say this is my favourite cops/crims show.
I was properly obsessed with this, love Vic's character & the plot is awesomeLoved this show; the Mackey/Dec. Wagenbach chemistry was inspired and the realism of the show was very atmospheric (although seemed a little comical when compared to something like Southland which I watched straight after this). Plus any TV show that has CCH Pounder in it is bound to be good
I loved this show.
I remember renting out the second or third series from blockbuster and me and the missus watched it from start to finish one Sunday. Didn't set out to, but we just had to keep watching.
No other series has gripped us like that.
If it's on Netflix now maybe it's time to revisit it. (After we finish breaking bad)

Holy thread resurrection!
I've just finished this, averaged a series a week I think. If anyone hasn't watched this yet you really need to. A brilliant series!
I think out of all TV shows the ending here is superb and not sure if anything else has ended better. The last 2-3 episodes were brilliant television.
Really enjoyed Forest Whitaker and the episodes he was involved in too.

After my post in this thread last year I watched it from start to finish. I originally started watching it on channel 5 when it first started airing years a go, but I missed a few episodes and promised I'd watch it properly one day. It was worth the wait, it's a truly great program, the only television drama I've watched that can stand on the pantheon of truly amazing television alongside Breaking Bad. It's one of those things that is so good, I wish I'd never seen it, so I could watch it again for the first time.
I was binge watching this as a Netflix latecomer as well, but let it slide for other televisual priorities... just seen that one of the actors has been clobbered for murdering his wife.
