Joe Wilkinson spoils the whole show. So we've stopped watching it.

I don't think he spoils it entirely.

Having him not on it would be an improvement though.

I find the whole thing a sickening self-congratulatory boke fest. 8/10 Cats is ok on its own, Sean Lock is a bit tiresome and JC an unbelievably smug tt, but when they 'do' Countdown I want to kill them all. With fire.

I strongly recommend that you don't watch this show again.

Honestly mate, if it's causing a reaction like that; you're going to make yourself ill.

Is it possible to have it blocked or something by your Sky box?

Please look after yourself and think of your family.

Don't watch it again. It's just not worth it.

I don't need to have it blocked, I simply exercise the self control to not watch it.

Everybody's happy! smile

Look inside your heart, you know I'm right.

Again.

I'm confused now.

On one hand, I'm relieved that you have the strength and fortitude not to watch something which would make you so angry.

Then again, I'm puzzled as to how anyone could be so outraged by a programme they don't watch.

I do like the concept comedy but with a bit of a challenge for the viewer, but the joe robnson bit isn't needed, save the fee.

I did watch it once, I don't now and won't again. I'd pictured you as a reasonably intelligent chap Eric, I'd have thought you'd have been able to construe that yourself.

You, though, the other one, I've never met a clever Stuart and I'm guessing your username alludes to the support of a soccer team; another indicator of the hard of thinking. I'm not even going to try and explain to you how I know I don't like something. Never mind, at least you have MotD.

Was funny when it was first done as the Channel 4 swap around shows at New Year some two years ago.
Overworked and unfunny now and Jimmy Carr spoils it anyway.

Hold on a second ... something's just occurred to me ...

... people becoming apoplectic over things which they can't see, don't understand, are made up and which really don't affect them ...

... where might I have come across that before? ...

scratchchin

... oh yeah, Mat777 links to a site sometimes ...

Woah there, Darth Sweeping-Generalisation. PH is no place for prejudice. Except perhaps on this thread, where it is a 9 letter word.

Still, I (as a proud Stuart of above average intelligence for someone born in Somerset) am the victim of a hate crime. You will be hearing from my solicitor. (also 9 letters)

I'm afraid he's right. Thick as pig st me, but I am grateful for the explanation of the "mcfc" at the end of my username.
It's been puzzling me for years as I'm not Scottish.
