Premier last night on HBO. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. First episode was a bit of a slow burning scene setter but I think it's going to be really good. One to watch for.

I have just come here to post this.

Haven't seen the 1st episode yet but it looks pretty good.

Very good opening episode.

I hope this is received well as the story arc looks very interesting, but would hate to see it rushed.

Started my own thread but then spotted this so deleted mine

Agreed. Best launch for HBO since 2010.

Going to be another good effort from HBO.

February on Sky Atlantic.

Apparently GoT 2.2 million
True Detective 2.3 million

So best since Boardwalk Empire 2010 premiere 5.4 million.

Obviously those are just the S1E1 premieres.

I didn't realise you meant 'better' as in numbers. Funny how GoT went on to crush BE.
But 5.4....wonder if that's marketing or the fact they haven't had a new one since 2011.

Really liking this. Woody Harrelson gets better and better every time I see him.

Second episode bringing things along nicely. Matthew McConaughey is excellent and the dialogue is great. Some excellent gratuitous nudity featuring Alexandra Daddario and a pair of handcuffs to look forward to in this one. wink

3 Episodes in and it's looking good. Also good seeing Brother Mouzone again.

I have 'acquired' the first three episodes, not watched them yet, perhaps get around to watching one or two this evening.

For those that are watching The Blacklist - comparable in terms of quality?

This is miles ahead of the Blacklist IMO. Its like comparing The Sopranos to Neighbours.

Way ahead. Blacklist is unbelievable drivel. This is real life, gritty, raw and brilliantly performed.
