After the success of the Simpsons thread, thought i may as well ask about my other favourite funny tv program.

Any Still Game fans on here?

Fully expect this to be Northerners only but it is, quite simply, genius. biggrin

One of the better productions that the BBC have produced. I can relate to Jack & Victor. It seems so true to life.

Do they show it down south at all?

I almost ran Ford Kiernan down one night at the bottom of Byres Rd, post Chewing the Fat but pre-Still Game era. Could never have forgiven myself!

Love Still Game, but it started to get a bit crap in later series unfortunately.

The 'live' one filmed in Glasgow is quite good though.

New series started BBC2 Thursday evenings.

Sorry, the first one was last Thursday, so you will have to go the BBC IPlayer thing.

How a new series? I thought the last one was certainly the end.

It's not a new series, the one that was on on Thursday was episode 3 from series 3,first aired over 20 years ago.

Sorry about that.

A mate told me it was a new series and I believed him.

If you can get the BBC Scotland HD channel on Sky 115 ( that's channel number in this neck of woods, dunno if its on other providers) they run Still Game on a Friday night at 22:00 and repeat it on Sunday evening at same time -all series, then start from scratch once last episode has been shown - think this is 4th time I've watched them all via this channel.

I don't think you can parallel the two different scenarios.

However, I have reprimanded my friend and he has pointed out that he said "not listed as a repeat". I have told him he is a a pedant and he has agreed.

All 9 series are available on iPlayer for those not lucky enough to get BBC Scotland.
