Alan Rickman just before he dies in Harry Potter will always stand out to me....

Rickman in the Potter Franchise plays the character perfectly. He features in so many scenes that it's impossible to imagine any other actor playing the part. The scene where his memory is recalled in The Pensieve, and he conjures a patronus similar to Lily Potter is fantastic. But my favourite is in The Shrieking Shack where we have Rickman / Oldman / Spall / Thewlis all together :-

Fassbender in Inglorious Basterds.
Agreed, superb
3rd vote for Fassbender, but shout of to August Diehl in that scene too.

Gary Oldman as a crooked cop in Romeo Is Bleeding (1993) is awesome too.

A montage of it here, put rather nicely to music (Perturbator - "Lustful Sacraments")

Shout out to Lena Olin in this too. Also very good.

Some great choices , Fassbender certainly . Maybe not a favorite but Pulp Fiction and the tasty burger scene with Samuel L Jackson at his best is always a good watch .

Christian Bale in the scene where Rosalind Pike buries her children in Hostiles. The whole scene really is one of the most powerful and tragic in a modern film.

Very early on his career, Robert Carlisle had another memorable role in an early nineties Antonia Bird BBC film / play called Safe.

He played the role of a frightening character called ‘Nostie’ - a taste of things to come later with Begbie. It’s a shame it never gets repeated, and there is very little of it on YouTube.

It also had strong performances from Kate Hardie and Aiden Gillan - also early in their careers.

The subject was homelessness and was obviously pretty hard going. Carlisle actually lived homeless for a few days prior to shooting to get into character.
