Out of interest, why do you find Charlie a dipstick? Not exactly a raving fanboy but I wouldn’t colour him that way either. 5 months in to my free sub I'd only watched Greyhound (it was ok) and was struggling to find anything else that appealed.
Taking inspiration from this thread, Ted Lasso is absolutely terrific, an endlessly perky upbeat yank should be really annoying but somehow isn't. All the characters are more than cartoon cut outs and it's just the right side of touching without being mawkish or over sentimental.

They have barely any content, and almost nothing inclusive with the sub. If it wasn't for the free signup offers they've have no one subscribed to their feeble me-too effort. I only signed up because it was free, poked around a bit, then left.
Plus their app is barely compatible with anything except the very latest third party kit (unlike the competition) so they don't even make that easy.
It's the worst streaming service out there. The competition have nothing at all to worry about.

Got to say I tend to agree with you. I enjoyed Greyhound, See, Ted Lasso (excellent), the computer game comedy which I can’t recall the title to), Servant and Defending Jacob. Plus the app is a bloody nightmare. For a company like Apple it’s disappointing.

The UK/US humour mix is pretty much spot on so far.
Have to say that Apple TV is lacking in quantity of content but what do have leaves Netflix and Amazon in the dust in terms of quality, original stuff.

Late to, but still enjoying "Tehran"
Their "Earth at Night - In Colour" and "Tiny World" are fabulous, though.
Generally, can completely understand the criticism that there does not seem too much available - but what they do produce seems quite quality in production values, and I'm going to stick with it (but have gone all in for the One package anyway)
Just finished "Tehran" - it was quite gripping.
Now started on "Losing Alice" - didn't know what to make of it at first and was about to give up. But the opening scenes were intriguing enough that I thought I'd stay with it to se where it goes. Just finished Ep3 and a few weird things are starting to occur, so - unbelievable though it all us - I will probably hang on to see if there's more....

Well, the end of S2 of Servant was.....(no spoiler alerts needed!) ...very M Night Shamalamadingdong - as you'd expect!
"Good" in its own way - and I feel compulsive viewing now!
But I really now am hooked on the new series of shorts: Calls
A bit different - strangely engaging to "watch" - when you really have nothing to watch (try one and see the format - I'm going to make a hamfisted attempt if I try and describe it).
For the first couple I had headphones on and it helps make for a nice intense experience - but they're only shorts. Will probably divide people into those who think it's all a bit rubbish and a bit "Tales of the Expected" and those who'll like the slightly scary way something simple is done.

As an aside, did anyone else who is watching the show see the "ant issue" at Jamestown and think;

Maybe broaden your horizons a little bit more? Don't worry the male astronauts are still there and part of the main plot, Armstrong & Aldrin are still the first Americans to walk on the moon.

For All Mankind - wow wow wow. I was lucky enough that I could binge season 1 and half of season 2 before catching up with the latest episodes released weekly. The 75 minute finale of season 2 that was released yesterday is an absolute masterpiece. The people working on it should be extremely proud of what they’ve produced. And the teaser for season 3 at the end had my jaw on the floor.
