You don't like 'The Dish'? Weirdo!
Actually I did like The Dish very much.
Cool - I believe you and I have similar tastes going by the 'Good Films..' thread so I was thinking it would be a bit strange if you'd disliked it.

Why would you have to be brave? Decent enough film - mentioned earlier in the thread.
Because of the Homophobia pouted around on Pistonheads.

The film is regarded as one of the best Australian films, that is for sure.

In the '80's nuclear conspiracy films were de rigeur (the daddy being the frankly peerless Edge of Darkness) and in the dim recesses of my mind I recall such a film made in Oz which I thought starred Steve Bisley. As an impressionable teen the only image that was seared into my brain was the main character's rather attractive other half/fellow fugitive being forced to scrub in a handily transparent decontamination shower... getmecoat

A quick Goggle reveals only "Ground Zero" as a contender though scant evidence exists and Mr Bisley didn't feature.
The Chain Reaction.

Don't think I've seen 'Tim' mentioned yet, could it be Mel Gibson's first?

ETA: Just watched some Les Patterson clips. Still hurting.

I was looking for recomendations for other so will have a read of the whole thread. The thread is quite old so anything recent that you thought was good?

I enjoyed "Babyteeth", it's billed as a comedy drama, but, while it was quite funny in that Australian humorous way, it was more about the drama, and the final scene had the room a bit dusty.

Mentioned once years ago, Malcolm.
Young inventor with learning difficulties takes in lodgers. They turn out to be bank robbers and get him to make gadgets to rob bank by remote control. Funny film.

I'm not sure it was mentioned 10 years ago, but The Castle is excellent. It's a low budget, sort of true story comedy. Very heart warming, funny and quotable.
