Anyone watching Dark Matter?

Can't quite figure out whether it's any good but am sort of enjoying it partly because I really can't predict where it's going.
Enjoying it but you do need to turn off part of your brain to enjoy it, (with drugs maybe) it's like 30% plot holed pure trash, 70% decent fun.
I also can’t figure out whether I like it or not. It started really well but the last few episodes have just been fluff.

How many total episodes?
I gave up. Its lack of pace helped my insomnia though.
same here

a lot of these type of series now really dont bring anything new to the party, although the ending perhaps will be different, we've seen this in spades recently - dark , mysterious, slow burner scifi that deliberately confuses you until the end (being 8 weeks down the line)....ive just lost interest in these types of things
Just watched episode 7…. I agree it is slooooooooow but I’m intrigued enough to continue… however I’m really pleased my Mrs isn’t watching it, I have to explain the soaps to her let alone this complex mix up of two main characters and their family/friends…… biggrin

Presumed Innocent stsrted yesterday starring Jake Gylenhall as a prosecutor about to get involved with the death of a fellow colleague. So far looks ok.

I watched all 3 and can’t get past the fact he deliberately brings suspicion on himself where actually explaining would help. Disappointed

Haven’t got that far yet. One thing I did notice was how soft the ficus is.

Drops of God.

French - Japanese wine tasting/family/inheritance drama.

Very enjoyable. 8.5/10 Chateaneuf du Papes.

Can't see where anyone has discussed the story.

I’m about halfway through the Dark Matter book and it’s cracking along at quite a pace so it’s disappointing to read here that the adaptation is another Invasion style snoozefest…

Shame because it seems the sort of story that would translate well to the small screen…

The pacing felt better suited to a film to me.

Dunno if I can arsed to be mired in befuddlement for 8 hours in search of an eventual payoff at the moment.

I know it’s highly regarded here but that’s what annoyed me about Severence…

I'm with you on that. The way they drag it out just makes me think about how the producers of Lost strung people along for years when they clearly had not idea how to finish it.

A vaguely repeat post but slow horses is a great show. Just watched season (series, please let’s be English) 3 and it was great.

It makes me sad for the bbc and the licence fee as that is exactly what I expect them to produce. Awesome drama.

thing is the BBC can produce something like this (BLUE LIGHTS for example) but its few and far between, and then they flog it for all its worth on every single part of the BBC (radio, player, one show, news etc etc) so you end up getting sick of it....

the sooner the bbc is subscription the better, i'd happily pay a reduced license fee for some Radio and News, and another subscription fee as and when i want to watch something on iPlayer.

I’d much rather have that option. At least it’s my choice

Dark Matter - episode 8

I don't know how I feel about this. Either it's a stroke of genius (possible) or the writers have just taken away the single thing we were all rooting for.

Watching presumed innocent which is kind of ok (1/2 way though Ep2) but problem is I can’t warm to Jake Gylenhall so he just isn’t really believable to me, and I don’t / can’t care about him :/ so not a good combo as don’t care if he gets shafted or not!
