The Cosby reference was brilliant. As others have said, just gets better.

Caught up now, it's brilliant, easily my favourite TV show of the last few years, which isn't hard as I don't watch much TV but stuff like this would tempt me back.

Loads of story progression, more tentacles and even a bit for Wayne Rooney to enjoy.

I'm sorry, I can believe super heroes with incredible powers and laser beam eyes but if you tell me that Derby County got promoted the show just jumped the shark (sorry Deep)...

Everything around Soldier Boy has so much throwaway detail and referencing.

I've really enjoyed all 3 seasons so far. It's very good.

Although this episode was the first in which I hoped they had a decent finish in mind. Obviously they're somewhat following the story of the comic but have gone off piste in several areas. I would hate it to become one of these lingering shows where the writing becomes an exercise in prolonging the gravy train, rather than telling the good story. The latest episode felt like it opened up another avenue, hopefully that goes somewhere definitively.
I have loved almost every episode of The Boys so far, and this was....

....utter st. My fears come true, just continuing the gravy train rather than putting together any satisfactory ending.

It was all very well produced and filmed of course, but the story was a disaster. The entire build up of the last 3 seasons has all been undone in my view. Not one character in that finale had a consistent motivation. The Soldier Boy stuff was pointless. The Black Noir stuff was pointless. Starlight made thoroughly unlikable over recent episodes. Hughie was in the episode for some reason. All that guff about novichok completely pointless. Fight scenes gimped because of moronic appeals to emotion. Here's an idea Butcher - if you don't want Becca's son to be killed, perhaps just move him or Homelander?

Big moment, Starlight can fly and get supercharged. Better drag that out for her big moment of........mildly pushing Soldier Boy over.

Maeve somehow survives the cataclismic Soldier Boy explosion (which by the way is the same 'weapon' that they're trying to kill Homelander with), so that is completely pointless as well.

I don't think I've ever seen a show which has so quickly plummeted in quality. And all obviously to manufacture something to keep the money coming in.

The final shot was basically Brightburn wasn't it?

Finale did feel a lot like unpicking various plot threads with a big pair of scissors.
