You just know he's now heading home with the thoughts that he's sorted out all those numpties at the inquiry who know nothing.

"The Horizon system was systemic and robust"

He is without doubt the most stupid and ill informed person to appear before the Inquiry.

....and that's a pretty competitive field.

Sir Wyn giving him even more rope to hang himself! hehe "Your witness statement is online for everybody to see!" Beautifully Done Sir Wyn! This guy is gonna find himself the subject of ridicule for months, hopefully. Particularly like the shot of, presumably, SPMs walking out as he's spouting st!

With a smug self satisfied smirk on his face no doubt...little does he know he's just made an arse of himself in front of the country.

Wonder if his wife is gonna break the bad news to him when he walks triumphantly through the door later today?

"No dear, you're not the conquering hero, you're a fkin idiot!"

Just watching the final 5 minute rant, he's clearly been on the sauce before he arrived it's like listening to drunken ramblings in a Glaswegian horseshoe bar.

I'm not getting it. confused He's someone who you would have expected to stick up for the sub-postmasters who is completely going against what we all now know, in order to defend the fact that his organisation didn't provide support for them at the time. Is that about right?

What everyone "knows now" is that the whole thing was caused by Horizon bugs. That's not totally accurate, either.

I much prefer his attitude to the people who have just forgotten everything. We'd have learnt more if the PO lawyers, Angela VdB &co, had been so forthcoming.

During his final rant, did we see a brief glimpse of people walking out of the room? Presume the camera operator deliberately showed us that?

Interesting, the genesis of this whole scandal starts with Horizon and it's poor coding everything flows from that, his attitude was appalling arrogant, dismissive and bombastic as he was towards the SPMs during the whole debacle and he's clearly learnt nothing as he took that to the witness chair.

Amazing that the man could be that fking stupid and arrogant to sit there for hours being questioned about why he didn’t fulfil his organisations existential role of supporting SPMs yet STILL was at pains to make sure his closing sentence was to reiterate ‘well some of them DID steal before Horizon so that makes it ok to leave all of the ones who had balancing issues to the vultures’

From the National Federation of Sub Postmasters accounts for George's final year.

I'm guessing Paula did his performance review that year.

Surely all the current NFSP union members will be resigning enough en masse after that performance.

Yep, sure that was deliberate! The shot seemed to show a woman glancing back with what looked like disbelief on her face! Think Sir Wyn decided to just let the tt self-destruct in public and show what an absolute arse he is! He's gonna be an internet meme if he's not one already.
