The whole "2 years" thing is just a misunderstanding about dates apparently.

It's likely that the next series will be ready in early 2024, which scand like 2 years away at first glance, but is only 13 months.

I worked on season 1 and we started shooting roughly two years before shooting is scheduled to start on season 2. I imagine the shoot will be roughly nine months with any reshoots after that.

Because they should have had courage in their investment and started shooting this year whilst S1 was in post-production.

I am a big fan of GOT, despite the somewhat crap final season. I wasn't expecting much from the prequel, however...

Just finished the last episode.

I was woefully wrong. It really is a superb bit of TV, certainly on a par with GOT. Can't wait for the next season which seemingly according to here will be quite some time.
