Smoke me a kipper...

Now that WOULD be a character to work into a Dr Who episode! biggrin

M.
You could imagine it happening for a red rose special: picture ace flying through a time leak, crashing into the doctor and they try and get him back to the dwarf!

And we thought Alien Vs Predator was the ultimate in cross franchise shark-jumping!

Getting serious, how are Vastra, Jenny and Strax going to react to a "revived" Clara?

I do hope they don't keep returning to these 3 characters. Captain Jack was bad enough.

Twice, very briefly in A good man goes to war and then again in the Victorian Clara episode The Snowmen.

Assumed I'd missed something, maybe it's a timey-wimey thing and we'll find out their origin this week?
That would be quite a clever solution as they really haven't ever been introduced properly and if its the versions we've met already then Clara's got some explaining to do inspite of last weeks big reset button.

What was the origin of those characters? Keep seeing them in specials but I can't remember how they were introduced.
We first met Strax, Vastra & Jenny in A Good Man Goes to War

Don't diss the Strax. That will make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

These 3 characters are too..scratchchin...'kids TV' for me. I can forsee a spin-off series along the lines of The Sarah Jane Chronicles.

Yes, I'm aware that they gave Vastra an edge with the whole Lesbian-Alien thing but they don't work for me I'm afraid.

Madame Vastra is a Silurian who was awakened by the Digging on the London Underground. This killed a number of her Sisters. She was going to destroy the Human race for doing so but the Doctor persuaded her not to. She thenfell in love with Jenny after rescuing her from a gang of thugs. She stil enjoys Human flesh and can be seen enjoying a glass of Human blood while solving cases for Scotland Yard.

Strax was first seen acting as a Medic to Human forces At the Battle of Zarusthra in 4037 as penance to restore the Honour of his clone batch. He was believed to have died at Demons Run but it is believed that Vastra and Jenny managed to revive him. Jenny stating he "Fainted from the blood loss".

Jenna-Louise Coleman has also revealed in an interview that the Doctor has met Clara more than three times.....

Please cite quantifiable proof of the rescue of Jenny from thugs, this must be "cannon" and not simply fan based waffle. Dr Who is a serious issue and I take things like this seriously
Thank you

Only tweet accurate information serious consequences may occur for incorrect or misleading tweets you only have to see what happened to that big haired junior crime commissioner girl to know it's not worth it these days

Tonight - "See Diana Rigg as you've never seen her before"

Apart from those of us who have watched her also putting on a northern accent in Game of Thrones.
