One more this season. I waited to binge the first eight as get a bit frosted with the episodic release schedule.
There are about forty seven other GOT themed shows in the works, marvel style . Which is welcome.
one thing that irrationally annoys me are the universal forced RP accents. Bit of regional dialect wouldn’t go amiss.
In the books apparently the two houses look very similar. So I’m wondering if there was the same “everyone knows they are b
ds” theme?
Well there was a bloke with a Scottish accent got whacked this week. If that helps. There are about forty seven other GOT themed shows in the works, marvel style . Which is welcome.

Thinking more about it, it's not so much accent that bugs me, more lack of comic foil. Eg Bronn in GoT throne making fun of the nobles.
Yes, this and the Rings of Power take themselves too seriously. lizardbrain said:
Bigger episode budget than game of thrones, apparently.
I have been fortunate enough to watch every GOT and HOD episode on a 120 inch 4K screen. The quality of GOT was amazing. HOD is really mediocre. It’s like when air wolf went to a different network and it went a bit s![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

Every time I see someone riding a dragon, I am totally pulled out of this show. The cgi inevitably looks jarring and I’m reminded it’s all nonsense. The show would work much better without that element. There. I’ve said it.
Totally agree. I the last episode I watch the dragon was massive in the “room” and then shrunk to tiny as it flew through the door. My wife is also irritated by the Dr Who guy still being a time lord as he doesn’t really age when all around him have. Is that the end of season plot twist?

Aside from the kids, no-one else has aged around him ?She was 15 at the start, then 25 and 35.. could hardly use the same kid again!
Alicent was 18 when she married the king, and didn't look "as childlike" so they obviously figured they could age her up.
Kingy looks much older now because he is, but because of the wasting disease he has, hence the disparity between him and his slightly younger brother Daemon.

I'm with you. It's just implausible how they get airborne at all. Wings are nowhere near big enough.JamieBeeston said:

Magic!Next you'll be asking how Dead Dragons with holes in their wing can fly, or skeletons can wield swords!
White Walkers etc are magic that no-one understands and most thought were a fairy tale. Magic didn't exist in the early series of GoT, but dragons did, albeit they were extinct.

But that's not the explanation given. We see them awkwardly lumbering along trying to build up speed to take off like a goose.

Magic always existed, the Children of the Forest existed well before the first men and the white walkers, it simply was forgotten about.White Walkers etc are magic that no-one understands and most thought were a fairy tale. Dragons are not from Westeros, and the history of them, and the Valyrians is scarce, and they were well known for using Magic themselves.. so who is to say that dragons aren't magic

Either way, it hardly spoils the soup

Dragons on the other hand are recent history.
Therefore Dragons can't fly by magic any more than the birds do.

Point is, in S1 of GoT, magic does not exist. Any references are fairy tales.
Dragons on the other hand are recent history.
Therefore Dragons can't fly by magic.
The Dothraki have Blood Magic healers in S1, and Daenerys walks out of the fire with her dragons completely unburnt in Season 1, Episode 10.Dragons on the other hand are recent history.
Therefore Dragons can't fly by magic.
Magic.

In S1 of GoT dragons were extinct / queried if they ever existed, and white walkers never existed and were fairytales.Dragons on the other hand are recent history.

HoD is 200+ years before GoT
Magic or not, Dragons exist and fly..
Quetzalcoatlus (flying dinosaur) existed in our World, wingspan of reportedly 50-70'
That puts it not far off dragons

Either way, its make believe so

And that makes no sense either - dragons are everywhere in HoD, yet there is no other magic at all. Not a single bit.
Except we know the white walkers exist during HoD, Magic is everywhere, we've just not explicitly been shown it yet in HoD.Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean its not still there..
I'll wager the faceless men are still operating in Bravos (given they were operating during the time of the Doom many years earlier!)
