Just been getting into The Stranger. Kind of crap and ridiculous, but couldn't stop watching it.
We’ve just finished The Stranger, bizarre/unbelievable ending.

I’m still confused as to what made Katz (Paul Kaye) go bad? Read the whole episode guide on wiki and there’s no explanation as to why he’s running around as a copper murdering people!
i understood he was hired as the muscle for the investor guy who was threatened by the stranger over his sugar daddy activity. He was trying to find out who the stranger was, and eliminating them he would have got a cut of the business. However he was a bit of a loose cannon with a few issues and his anger got the better of him with the cafe owner

He was also getting the treatment paid for his daughter if he stopped the stranger, although seems it was her mum causing this anyway

I think it might be just you pair!

She should be a politician - so many reasons for so many poor results. Not one of them her.

Ah st no.
The program with kaley cuco and the ginger sister is the one.

(just for clarity, the actual mum of Malcom is not fit)

The trials of Gabriel Fernandez, it's up there with the most moving harrowing thing I've ever watched. I feel sick to the stomach just knowing about it.

We started watching this last night, only one episode in so far and yes, I think it's going to be a difficult watch. Well made though.

Just finished Lost in Space. Wasn’t really planning on watching it but had run low on the watchlist. It’s OK. You can obviously see it’s just going to keep cycling the same thing again and again and again as it’s unlikely they will kill off any family members or Dr Smith so it’s just an endless series of about to win events that get thwarted by Dr Smith whispering something to one of the expendables. But I found it well done with some nice humour and generally likeable characters. It’s enjoyable watching.

After LiS I watched Altered Carbon. It’s quite an interesting take on the usual Western social allegory. Seems a really clever way to avoid escalating actor fees, egos and reputation at risk. No real House of Cards or Friends risk and freedom to cycle in whoever will draw the most viewers etc.

So far I’ve enjoyed it and found it engaging.

I’ve now embarked on the show that I’ve been leaving until it was finished, Homeland. I’m 5 episodes in and am finding it enjoyable viewing.

Just stumbled across “Fauda”.

Retired Israeli soldier rejoins his unit when it’s discovered someone he assassinated in fact survived.

Three episodes in and it’s absolutely gripping, and quite even handed in dealing with the subject at hand.

After the mildly disappointing “Stranger” this is much more engaging.
Fantastic series and perfectly balanced when you consider the political situation, from memory those behind the series were from Israel and Palestine wanting to show the overall picture
If you like Fauda, give The Spy a go. Sacha Baron Cohen in a rare straight role as an Israeli spy going undercover in Syria in the early 60s, based on a true story. It's great , and he's great in it.

Her husband writes the show, also, she gets a few musical numbers which is a downside

Homeland can also get a bit samey but now that you've reminded me about it I might go back to the beginning and watch it again.

The two that I’ve been saving are this one and then Breaking Bad. Hoping both will see me through 2020 with some filler in between.

I enjoyed the first 4 seasons but then missed the next season (a few years back) and I wanted to know if it was worth finishing - given what I had read, for me , the answer was a resounding no

I lost months of my life to plough through that the see what happened.
A war of attrition.
I felt the same about Breaking Bad tbh
