As an aside - are the graphic novels "freely" available?
They're on Kindle Unlimited.

You could sign up for a free trial, although do remember to cancel before you start getting billed.

I did the same biggrin

I think the first 4 were available but later novels needed to be bought.

The books are good, very good. But I do prefer the show. I say this understanding I experienced the show first and I think that has an effect on the preferred medium

Just found this.

Midway through Ep4.

Why hadn't I found this before - it is proper good!!

Bear with me, but in tone it reminds me of the original Robocop movie; a healthy, cynical dig at corporate America and the privatisation of security, whilst not being preachy and having a decent story and excellent characters (better than Robocop by a long way in this regard).

In for the thread continuation on S2.

Just finished this - fantastic series.

Well acted throughout, up there with the best series I’ve watched in a while.

Have to agree, very few bad performances throughout the cast and some properly standout one's, especially Antony Starr as Homelander. He pretty much steals every scene he is in IMO.

Also just finished S1 an hour or so ago.

Concur with the above - definitely a cut above almost everything else on all the streaming services.

Official S2 trailer here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYnSEW4sXrk

edit: That is one graphic trailer! Due mid-2020.

This is good news. First series was great. Another good superhero series on prime is ‘the tick’.

I've seen that trailer and loads of other things - I'm really, really looking forward to this as the original series really took me by surprise as being very, very good smile

Yup. Far and away the best of its type, I reckon. Loved the first series.

Finished watching S1 lastnight, loved it biggrin . People doing other accents to their own is a bit weird, I can understand Simon Pegg if comic Hughie was based on him. Karl Urban is great in it as the character, but the dodgy cockney was odd sometimes, I've been trying to think of someone who is British who could do the character and a big name like Urban. Struggling.

Haley Joel Osment is in S2 of What We Do In The Shadows too, I had no idea he was in The Boys.

Looking forward to The Boys S2 now smile .
