Collecting Cars have committed hari-kari. Just like Petrolicious they have ruined a once glorious formula by chasing the 'yoof' and gone all wokey-cokey.
Which bit for the 'yoof & which bit was 'wokey-cokey'? All I saw was a 3 minute video with a chap talking about a 993.

It's because they've got an exotic man in retro-branded jacketry. Porsche is exclusively for older, white, betitled gentlemen. Obviously. If you don't understand that, then you're part of the problem, now be off with you and your rainbow shorts, you silly little they/them.

(That was sarcasm, before anyone reports me)

I reckon if Alex and his team were in their 50's, spoke like someone who went to a grammar school and did boring walkaround videos you'd receive him better.
A lot of you struggle to see past the youthful "bantz" and style of the channel, even though it's how a lot of us in our 30's speak to each other.
One of you said he just does Youtube and isn't a real journalist even though he worked for Autocar for years writing reviews that many of you would've probably read without question.

Some of his stuff doesn't land with me, but the accusations of creating contrived, scripted drama etc just doesn't align with what I see when I watch the videos. They're young(ish) guys having fun with cars and filming it. If it was Harry doing the same thing but with less laughter, fun, breakdowns etc you'd lap it up.

I still find it mind boggling that the critics appear to watch every episode only to moan about it on here. I find Harry's videos boring and repetitive so I stopped watching a while ago.
That's why I was questioning what gives Harry Metcalfe the label of 'expert' over Auto Alex.

Their CVs are the same except Harry has been doing it longer.

Saw a lime green Murci on the A30 last week. Was that Mr Armstrong or are they often that colour? I don't really like superdupercars but it did look good.

It's because Harry will look and talk like the majority of the moaners on this thread, that's all there is to it really.

Enjoyed it too. TDC and All the Gear are already way better than AutoAlex IMO.

Latest misha video is out, the owner must be either stupid or really desperate for 30 seconds of fame to let him track his svj on a normal tourist lap day

Wow, he's brutal, straight out the pits and banging the splitter off the ground at 230km/hr, overtaking a bike fairly close and downshifting close to rev limiter.

He's even off the track at 7:46 at 150mph - has he not had enough accidents. my goodness, what a liability.

Looked safe enough to me. Much love, Terry Tibbs.

What type of Mini would that have been at 6-7 mins? It was PDQ.

He was off the track several times. Very brave. Not sure about the mini, going very well indeed.

Agreed, I definitely feel like TDC leans more towards the "these are the cars of our youth/when we began driving, this is what we loved doing in them..and crashing!" vibe, AutoAlex is nothing but "Hey guys look, old BMW's..again!" Enjoyed the latest TDC too.

Enjoyed that episode of TDC, Will seems to be getting better every episode.

When Auto Alex has yet another BMW on I don't bother watching.

I should think (and hope) that the next episode is the Ferrari being fettled and back on the road somewhat.

Dad? Is that you?! Who let you out of the retirement home? I'm not moaning about Harry at all, I just said I don't watch his content. Do keep up old sport.
