Interesting choice.

wtf. what drivel
I was very disappointed (But I guess not surprised?) with his 'garage update' video over the weekend.

Literally zero news or anything we didn't already know.

Total filler and a waste of time.

TDC new video this evening on Edwins MX5, worth a watch - 24hr challenge.
I gave up with it after 10mins, seemed rubbish to me, Edwin is wasted on that channel, he was so much better on CT.
I think the problem is that the video petered out with just a 'tune in next time....' ending.

For a quick challenge video you need to cover the whole story in one episode (even if you have to stretch the video slightly longer) - or at least end on some sort of milestone like getting the engine running.

The Scraplife boys are worth a watch, Lee has been building a hellcat swapped Dodge Ram. It looks utterly hilarious and just leaves rolling burnouts everywhere it goes.

Living in the US does have some perks, stuff like this must be awesome.

I watch them smile It think it's a really good channel. The wrecked Dodge Viper he bought a while ago was seriously messed up!

140k views though, so it'll have still paid a few bills

Very disappointing numbers from a 2.6m+ subscriber channel though!!

Of more interest is Harry selling his Lotus Emira and picking up a 650S. Interesting choice.

What's also amazing is how long Fiat managed to string out the special editions for the 500! How many 500 Abath 595 Ferrari Dealer Edition Competizione Essesse Scoprioneoro Monster Energy Yamaha 70th Anniversario Rivale 175 Anniversary XSR Yahama Ltd Edition Record Maserati Edition Tributo Ferrari 50 Anniversario Cabrio Italia Zerocento Opening Edition 695 Biposto's did they actually make in the end?

(yes those are all actually real existing 500 Abath special editions....)

I worked for Abarth for years (Fiat, Jeep, Alfa main dealer) even I struggle to tell all of the different special editions apart!

The issue was the BS with Will “going to the cinema” to waste time and then the challenge was failed. Also, the idea that Edwin will be paying for the parts as he failed the challenge was an unfunny joke. Are the sponsors now going to demand money? No.

I want the new Auto Alex channels to be successful but so far my views are more out of charity than interest.

Tim seemed to get his for a pretty decent price, even though it needs work, considering it is one of 200

Weird, I took it in the funny way it was intended and enjoyed the video. Would've preferred it to be finished in one video but enjoyed it nontheless. I'm sure some of you watch Youtube and seek out things to annoy yourselves with rather than watching stuff you actually enjoy.
Why would you watch something out of charity if you don't enjoy it? They're not going to notice one less view.

Are you sure you're not just taking it too seriously? How dull would the video have been if it was just half an hour of Edwin pottering around the workshop?

The problem is, that's exactly what some people want. Not me though, I enjoyed it.

The trouble is that the whole fix in 24hrs has been done already and a lot better.

Yep, I thought the same. There's a clear link to what a certain Mr MA is doing. But hey ho, Edwin and Will are a good laugh so it didn't put me off. I'm pretty sure you could say the same about every video on Youtube, most of the stuff us lot like is just buying st cars and fixing them up at the end of the day.

Agree, I think the car fixing channels are at their peak right now with only a downward trajectory from here.

I think there will always be merit in buying a st car and going on a roadtrip (Please no more N'Ring videos) but even then they'll need to include more 'challenges' and we end up in the Top Gear spiral of reproducing crap content week after week towards the end.

Honestly, thats why I think All The Gear, whilst a slow burner, will end up the most successful.

Does anyone else think the Top Dead Centre crew are a bit unsafe with the way they fix cars. They never use gloves and even worse, they have oil, coolant, bolts and other rusty bits dropping right by their eyeballs (as they use no safety glasses). Health and Safety does not apply to these blokes. Otherwise, they are very entertaining.
