How strange. There’s no mention of the crash or the ban on his Insta…

The average EV doesn't gain 250 miles in 20 - 25 mins. More like 1-1.5 hours if we're being generous, especially taking onto account queuing and variable charging speeds. So you're looking at a minimum of 3 -4.5 hours just charging in best case.
Two fuel stops in an ICE car will be 10 mins each, so 20 mins ICE Vs 4 hours EV is a big difference
250 miles in 1.5 hours is 40 kW charging. That’s not what people do at DC chargers, they start at 80kW and most are 120-150.Two fuel stops in an ICE car will be 10 mins each, so 20 mins ICE Vs 4 hours EV is a big difference
150kW charging would take 24 minutes as I said.
I know, I’ve done it plenty of times. What’s your experience of DC charging been?
Between my father and I we have been all over Europe and particularly Geneva for 10 years now in EVs.
I got tired of the charging nonsense with kids etc so bought a hybrid Range Rover. Difference down to Geneva is 3-4 hours. Which is the difference between having to stop for the night and not.
The issue with the on the road charging is the quoted 20 min charge is to 80% but then nobody drives down to 0% so it’s more like 70% with a buffer. So if my Model Y or Taycan do 250 motorway miles from full charge you are looking at a real 70%.
Or charge for longer for the extra 10%-20% but this is at much slower speeds can take roughly 30 mins longer.
EVs are good for a lot of stuff but if you want to rack up big miles at a time it’s pretty hard to beat diesel.

250kw charging my Model Y up to 250 motorway miles is 50 mins.
Those figures don't make sense. 250kw charging is nigh on a 1000mph in a Model Y. You must be getting A LOT lower charge rate for it to take 50 mins. I guess if you're charging to 100% it's going to drop right down.

Why do EVists always get shirty? The guy just said it would be an interesting comparison.
If it only ended up an hour or so difference that’s a good thing for EVs surely?
I think it would be interesting to compare both cars at “normal speeds” (neither on an economy run). I’d be interested to see how efficient an EV would be at decent but very smooth steady speeds. (I already know what my GTD is like doing that)
It wouldn't be that exciting. Normal speeds being 70-80mph the EV would suffer relative to the still more inefficient diesel. If it only ended up an hour or so difference that’s a good thing for EVs surely?

I think it would be more interesting to give them the same amount of energy so the diesel would start with around 6 litres in its tank.
I think that would help gets people's heads around how much more efficient EVs are.

Never have I been more confused to receive an Instagram message.

I don't think I've ever even commented about him here or commented on his IG page or YT channel.
Truly bizarre.

As with all of these fly-by-night pointless youtubers, their very existence is dependent on 100% positivity. If they hadn't been so lucky to have follwers or subscribers... they be nowhere, and lose the lifestyles they have become very very accustomed to.Pincher said:

You can add another one to this list now. He's just crashed the Bilstein M4 GT4 into the back of an Aston Martin in the NLS race, putting both cars out of the race. The incident happened when he failed to react to a yellow flag and the cars ahead of him slowed down quicker than he did. He's currently under investigation by the stewards for not respecting a yellow flag zone.
The result of the stewards' investigation is a one race ban for Misha. Apparently he was already on a time penalty for excessive speed (95 in a code 60) on the previous lap.honda_exige said:

That's very strange. Don't really recall this guy being mentioned at all and certainly not in a negative or any other way by you. Sent me that then blocked me

I wonder if as a team they are going to face sanctions? That is two races in a row they've done something really bad. Amazingly the worst driver out of the lot of them hasn't had a whopper yetPincher said:

Before anyone calls me a fanboy I'm not even subscribed to the guy, just adding some perspective. Let's not forget he had the best stint in the N24 2 weeks ago and was challenging Timo Glock for the race lead on pace alone. Mistakes happen in racing and he's serving his penalty for this and will move on to the next one.
