Had anyone seen The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez?
I've just finished episode 5 (of 6 I think) and it's both compelling and utterly, utterly horrific. I actually can't think of the words strong enough to convey what I think of the people who were supposed to be looking after that poor child.
I'm not easily affected by things on TV but this is truly shocking.
I got as far as the end of the opening sequence this evening. It's not going to be easy viewing.I've just finished episode 5 (of 6 I think) and it's both compelling and utterly, utterly horrific. Just been getting into The Stranger. Kind of crap and ridiculous, but couldn't stop watching it.
We’ve just finished The Stranger, bizarre/unbelievable ending. I’m still confused as to what made Katz (Paul Kaye) go bad? Read the whole episode guide on wiki and there’s no explanation as to why he’s running around as a copper murdering people!

I know this is petty but it really bugs me - why didn't they get somebody familiar with F1 to do the radio transcripts / subtitles. So far we've had "breaks" rather than "brakes", and "Keep your dash posted" instead of of "Keep your dash positive" (Horner to Max during a Safety Car).
What does ‘keep your dash positive’ mean?jammy-git said:
Gee it up a bit; give it some encouragement, tell it everything is going to work out ok, etc.
Exactly that.Son In Law once explained modes to me in full technical terms. I promptly forgot them, but there are so many settings on the cars now it's ridiculous. Can't wait for next season actually when playing fields are levelled a bit.
Still cracking on with Safe. Enjoying it actually, it's even amusing on occasion.
Have El Chapo lined up next.
Just stumbled across “Fauda”.
Retired Israeli soldier rejoins his unit when it’s discovered someone he assassinated in fact survived.
Three episodes in and it’s absolutely gripping, and quite even handed in dealing with the subject at hand.
After the mildly disappointing “Stranger” this is much more engaging.

Is it just me or has anybody else got a bit more enthusiasm for upcoming season after watching Drive to survive?
I had exactly this last season. Only watched the first episode of this new season but planning to do a but of binging in the run up to the season opener to generate some excitement!funinhounslow said:

Fantastic series and perfectly balanced when you consider the political situation, from memory those behind the series were from Israel and Palestine wanting to show the overall picture Retired Israeli soldier rejoins his unit when it’s discovered someone he assassinated in fact survived.

May have been covered before but have a watch of
Drive to Survive
It’s behind the scenes in F1. Must admit I don’t ever watch F1 as find it very dull but honestly I’d watch the races in a heartbeat if Netflix did the build up shows behind the scenes as it adds so much more than you perceive goes on.
We’re so used to seeing the polished BS on TV and all the goody goody stuff it appears like a rehearsed TV show. It’s nice to see what really goes on.
It’s a good show, even if you don’t like F1. If the TV channel who air F1 made a behind the scenes every week I’d be all over watching the racing.

Interesting series - enjoyed Guenther Steiner immensely.

Ah, right I’m not surprised. Yes, what a character he is.Interesting series - enjoyed Guenther Steiner immensely.
Only trouble with Netflix is trying to stop watching when you should be working!
12.45 into bed. Up at 7. Feel horrible.
It was worth it to tick off another series finished!

Thought the Gasly & Albon experiences at Red Bull were interesting, yes Gasly struggled to be fast but it came across as he was doomed from the start, Horner didn't seem to adopt him like he has Albon.Drive to Survive

Also thought Hulkenburg was treated badly, he tried to laugh it off but was clearly affected
Still have a crush on Claire Williams, she aint all that but just has "something" imo
