It was pretty good I thought.
£850 for a few quids worth of metal stamped into the shape of a GTR rump, not bad work if you can get it.
Alex from Legitstreetcars has just done a GTR gearbox. It was a good watch, very DIYable. The clips of the solenoids might have been from his video.

I really enjoyed the GTR video, and the 24 hours nonstop must have been pretty brutal. Matt looked knackered at the end!
Brutal? Is this more evidence of Snowflake Britain? (I'm joking, not having a go at you)How many of us have worked on a car day and night, sometimes days on end, on our own, on the run up to a show, race or other genuine deadline to then go ahead with said event. Now that's brutal.
Doing a 24 hour stint having had the luxury of preparing for it, with your mates doing shifts around you, all in a purpose made workshop is not exactly brutal.
As usual with Mats videos, it was entertaining and he's coming up with challenges like this as he probably feels he's running out of material.
In fairness, he pulled it off very well. Not because of the 24 hour BS but because he's good at picking on the details which are genuinely interesting such as the way they had to unpick the roof to get the 3/4 panel off and the various faults caused by the low battery.
I'm not sure where the insurance scam came in - was he accusing the previous owner of damaging his own car as it had developed a transmission fault?
Maybe the battery failed through lack of use as the car had been standing around?
I'm not sure replacing that panel was the best way to repair it. I wonder if he talked it through with a body shop?
It would have been great to see that repaired by pulling it out. It had a nasty crease at the base of the B pillar which might have just been too stiff to pull out.
I appreciate Mat doesn't have the skills for that yet but it would have been good to see him learning.

Alex from Legitstreetcars is probably my favorite youtuber , the exhaust he had made for his GTR is awesome and he explains stuff really well I look forward to his Saturday videos, funny that a lot of the issues he had were battery related , modern cars eh? I enjoyed Matt's GTR video but not a fan of the wheels and I suspect most of the stuff he is about to do to the car but thought that was a good days work replacing that rear quarter
I enjoyed the video. The whole done-in-24-hours thing was a little unnecessary, but I guess it's needed for algorithm and/or hype purposes.
The more cars he does, the more one wonders what the outlet for them all is
The Rolls-Royce, RS6 (which seems to have just disappeared) the Merc C63, this GTR - he can't keep them all and doesn't seem to be into raffling them all. Will some just get sold?

The GTR looks a prime candidate to raffle - it's the kind of poster car that would appeal to the type of person who gets sucked into these things.
My concern is that the GTR video wasn't' much different to the M3 one. Cut bits off, stick new bits on.
Not sure how much life there is in that kind of material but this latest one seems to be doing well.

I suspect the RS6 is somewhere between Florida and Derbyshire currently, thats if its even left the US The more cars he does, the more one wonders what the outlet for them all is

It's a bit like questioning how much life there is in the content that Shmee150 does buying and selling cars for his car collection - that's what he does....
The projects will just get bigger and more intricate. Wouldn't be surprised to see him (Armstrong) pick up a bona fide supercar needing work before long - Aventador or similar.
