If it had a B58 or S63 that would be the dream, but we all know that won’t be the case
To be fair, some of us don't even know what that means
Fair, B58 is the old M140i engine and the S63 is the old M3 V8

Actually S65 is the M3 V8, S85 is the V10 and S63 is the twin turbo V8 from the F10 M5, X5, current M5 etc.

Mat - What is the cafe racer I keep spying in your second unit?
I know it's not a bike channel but could be cool having a look at it on the Mk2 channel.

Matt - whats been the most fun project? I absolutely loved the Murcielago videos, and I think topping it off with the drive to Monaco was just brilliant. I can imagine that they must be frustrating too as its difficult to find/know exactly what you need and they are probably very time consuming - but is that half the fun?

Cheers

That's a great question - I was wondering which was the toughest and if there's been times when he's thought - "what have I got myself involved in".

For me, the one that made me first think - "this guy really isn't clever enough to realise what not to try" but he subsequently managed to pull off, was the Aston Martin dashboard. That looked a nightmare.

Of course, that was before he did the "bought a Murcielago which someone else had repaired - badly" project which I was convinced would never run again for more than 1000 miles, which was also before the Ferrari in bits project which he repaired with a flood damaged engine. Simply brilliant.

It's easy to call him for his involvement in the raffle blag but when you look at some of the stuff he's done - it really has been a fantastic few years of videos.

Whilst I'm sure there's some entertainers license in what we see, none of the stuff I'm mentioned is made for TV BS.

When we used to watch Top Gear, I don't think any of us for a moment believed that the likes of Clarkson were spannering into the night on some of the monsters they used as props but I very much believe that Mat's projects are very much real and are the creation of himself and his buddies.

So 2 questions I'd be interested to hear the answer to are - which was most fun and which was the biggest headache?

So far!

Some good questions here, just to continue the theme - Matt your dad is an absolute legend and clearly knows what he is doing, is he self-taught or an an engineer by trade?

I've always cringed at the term "break the internet" but if Mat somehow gets his hands on a Zonda, that would literally break the internet. Freddie had the opportunity with the P1 but progress has been frustratingly slow

Another two very big assumptions to add to those made by the posters on this thread.

Maybe nothing in it but seems odd to use this picture unless it is a clue

The latest c63 video with Matt the camera man and Matt's dad was hilarious rofl

Also, I thought the Lewis thing might have been a Mercedes thing? Both hiding a non-valvoline oil (to keep the sponsor happy) and representing Mercedes which was the oil they were supposed to use, perhaps?

Warning: Some people won’t like the C63 video because it contains laughing.

Personally I loved it!

Thanks but too late - I've already seen it.

I'm wondering whether it needs to be reported to OFCOM.

Content of that nature could really do with a warning at the beginning of the video.

I've raised it with my local Tory MP who tells me she'll be dealing with it as soon as she's back in office after the election.

I think Tony has calmed the silly laughter down a lot and I actually though the video was hilarious. He and cameraman Mat seem to have a bang on relationship and it's fantastic how (OG) Mat can leave them to it whilst doing other stuff.

Tony's face when he thought the gearbox hadn't been filled with oil was a treat!

If it is the Zonda, I will be amazed (and in full admiration of Matt)
