I have a new mission in life: win the Mille Miglia. I'd better do some bloody work tomorrow.

I didn't think the program really portrayed him in the best light. Shame that they didn't make it and it would have been nice to see his co-driver doing some of the driving.

Hope he keeps the car and runs it next year.

Bad news for Hakkinen while he was racing though. There was a fire at his villa, two women were rescued and his dog died frown, very unfortuante (sp?).

Sorry for the rather large link.

He was driving the SL

He later pulled out of the race regarding the news.

EDIT: Link now includes translated version of the page.

Because I am not the one throwing around profanity and randomly abusing people.

I just saw this and didn't like the way it was produced, and don't think that he came across particularly well. That said I would definitely do the same in his situation.

interesting that the organisers of the miglia have changed the rules of late so the car you enter must have completed in the event prior to its resurrection rather than just having been built at the time. bang goes my plan of buying an MGA and entering (cheapest way into a very expensive party!!) but it stops wkers like this guy going out and buying a car as those with history will now only change hands a) once in a blue moon and b) for big £££££

Some people must have had a bad Christmas - the bloke has spent an awful lot of his own money to do something he's always wanted to do.

It's filmed for TV and out comes the little-man bitterness.

Sad.

I'm sure he or she can speak for themselves.

My comment was more related to this post I put up earlier:
