I found the channel by accident over Christmas and have been binge watching it since.

I started in the Ferrari job playlist, but nearly didn't watch it because of the daft way he was wearing his hat!
Dont judge a book by its cover eh? smile

He's never going to please everyone all the time and I hate some of the stuff which seems purely for content creation however for some reason, I've no issue with this one.

Maybe it's because they'll all so relaxed and there's little/no false drama.

Looking forward to all the things you've mentioned he'll probably do but I'd put money on he'll choose a colour I'll think is in bad taste hehe

Just as well it's his car really. :heheh:
I wonder if the long term.plan is the same PTS purple that was on his USA car.

Great update on the Ferrari, no silly modifications and the wheels looked great.

Plus what a gesture with the car and his dad.

One of my fave cars he's done. Feared the worst when he took it to wheel mania but the new wheels are superb.
Lovely touch giving it to his dad but the ending all felt rather rushed and a sort of let's get this one done and move on. It wasn't even quite finished.

The right side of subtle - (not that I'd ever criticise Matt's projects - but the end results do tend to be a quite bold!) That was bang-on.

Really did seem to catch his dad off-guard there too, when Tony was just stood looking at the key!...

That gearbox episode alone though! I'm amazed it ever ran properly.. did they just 'get lucky'? there must be a HUGE amount of research / trial / error going on.

I wonder is the idea behind that for his dad to have a spin off channel and finish the Ferrari on it and target an older audience....

I'd enjoy that! I agree they rushed a bit at the end but I assume he has a new project coming he needs the workshop for

It doesn't matter that I don't like details such as the ride height and wheels or that those details are likely to have made the car worse.

It was another enjoyable episode.

Very easy to watch.

I enjoyed that one and was pleasantly surprised at how good the wheels looked - I’d happily have the same if I had one

I think this would be brilliant, I like his dad, seems a really likeable and normal guy, I'd also imagine his channel would be less modified cars with massive wheels.

Agreed. I love the candid content but feel there's either something not quite right in how they've managed to put this car together so well in the end, or got very lucky?

He’s mentioned before his dad Tony is a mechanic, Matt also always has the exploded diagrams of the parts he needs or is replacing on his phone, are these widely available online or do you need to sign up somewhere?

Either way this and a mechanic with a bit of trial and error and they get there, not always first time and he admits this by filming and showing it but they seem to work most bits out, Murci being a good example of that.

Enjoy watching the updates, I’m not a Max Power type so not into the bling stuff but the actual mechanics and getting cars going I really like.

He’s living the dream of a lot of petrol heads, messing around in his unit on cars, nice cars as well. Not a job, a hobby, fair play to him and his team. Hard work beats talent as he says. wink

. wink
The spares diagrams he is looking at are usually on Eurospares on the Italian cars, and anyone can access them. Most of the Supercar spares places also show the parts diagrams.

They’re only exploded down to available parts level of course, if the OE is an assembly, it only shows the assembly.

He did say that all the bits and finishing touches were going to be shown on the second chanel - I assume as a bit of a push to get the subscriber numbers up there.

I thought it looked superb with the new wheels, just right in my opinion.

Awesome touch giving it to his dad at the end and really like the style of wheel they went with but the fitment irked me a little, it just wasn't quite right...

To my eyes both the fronts and rears were a touch too wide or too low offset and I can't help but wonder whether it'd have looked better running staggered sizes. Higher offsets all round, same 20's and tyre profile on the rear but running 19's on the front with a bit more tyre would probably sit better IMO...

That said it's hard to get a real idea from a video and needs to be seen IRL to appreciate it properly, can def see it needs paint though.

TBH, I think he needs his Dad for the main channel builds - engine work, etc!

I get the impression it's all hands on deck doing the RS6, McLaren, etc.

Agree, he's started on his drive and has grown to now doing it with his mates and Dad, it's a great story. Full respect to him.

If it's just him and his dad who are somehow magicing up the ability to take boxes of Italian exotica engine and gearbox parts with bits missing which they've no previous experience of working on, then turning them into reliable running machines they deserve even more respect and appreciation than is being shown on this thread.

I've got over 40 years of spanner wielding experience and sometimes forget how something goes together which I took apart myself a couple of days earlier so to do what they're doing on stuff they've never seen together and working in the first place is nothing short of amazing.

I suspect that they might be getting external technical input in the way of access to technical manuals and procedures which aren't always available via Google and there would be no shame in that.

What is nice to see is that he's moved away from the fake drama that was starting to appear a few months ago - it's just this is what we're doing - sometimes it goes right, sometimes wrong. I thought the centre console thing in the Ferrari was brilliant and top marks for laughing at himself.

It has been away for paint IIRC - at least the bumpers if not more.
