I've just started watching "unabomber: In His Own Words". A couple of years ago I watched Manhunt: Unabomber which I thought was brilliant.

Mentioned in depth earlier on in the thread, fantastic but so so sad. Make sure you now watch the Oprah Winfrey special that she did with the actual innocent men. It's also on Netflix.

Apologies I missed the earlier post, but your mention of the Oprah special was rather timely as I have just watched it.

Altered carbon series 2, what a let down albeit only watched 17 minutes of the first episode. Is it worth persevering with it?

Sorry my reply sounded quite blunt, absolutely no apologies needed, it was on here I heard about it a fair time after it had been released.
The Oprah show was heartbreaking, seeing that Korey is completely broken from it all is a tough watch.

.

Antron and Korey - amazing but broken men.

The series and the Oprah special has been one of the most outstanding piece of film I have watched for years.

I started to watch episode 1 on Sunday evening and stayed up to watch all the episodes back to back until 0300hrs Monday.

Err, if we're recommending things to watch, that is one heck of a spoiler!

is there an Altered Carbon 2 thread - I really enjoyed 1 , but I am not getting along with 2, dont like the main actor he seems a little flat, and the season so far has been a lot of him shouting the same way in every fight or stab or pain he gets - little bored to be honest..... there also seems an awful lot of exposition this season so far (ep 4)

If you liked that, try 'Time: The Kalief Browder Story'

Heartbreaking 3-part documentary about a 16 year old kid from The Bronx that ends up in Rykers Island prison for 3 years without trial, wrongly accused of stealing a backpack - spent 2 years of that time in solitary.

It's not a dramatisation like 'When They See Us', but another example of the horrors of the American justice system and how kids can get wrongly pulled into it.

On the back of The Stranger I've started the other Harlen Coben series on there, Safe.
Much like the stranger it's daft but an easy watch. Though Dexter with an English accent takes some getting used to.

Finished The Pharmacist (well worth a watch) and onto this, agree, enjoying it though, 3 eps in so far

Finished Locke and Key

It was alright. Not scary enough to be a horror but too mature to be for kids. Didn't really know what it was trying to be. I have no knowledge of the source material.

Given I might well let my kids watch Drive to Survive (and I get that it asks for the PIN so implies it is adult content) - is it really necessary to start an episode with “Netflix are a bunch of s” from Ricciardo?

It's rated 15 and you needed the PIN to play it. The clues were there.

Never noticed the rating but yes the clues are there.

Struggling to see what it adds to an F1 documentary other than, frankly, making Ricciardo look like a bit of a, well, what he said.
