Thought on 'Eric'? It's ok but nothing special IMO
I loved it. Thought it was really well written and enjoyed the character development. I’m not a huge fan of cumberbatch but thought this was great. https://youtu.be/wwH9MeucXCA?si=be9SbSY8PTUOgd2z
I'm not sure what the YouTube recommended random videos thinks of me to put this up

Has anyone started Boys S4? Any good?
Also, has anyone watched Hit Monkey? Stills of S2 have been teased online.
There's a separate thread for the Boys and yes, I've seen the first two (there's 3 out) episodes and I think it's excellent. A few others on the thread are less enamoured but I'm enjoying it. Also, has anyone watched Hit Monkey? Stills of S2 have been teased online.

The Revenant (2015) with Tom Hardy and DeCaprio.
Long, and very good. What you'd expect from them really.
Never has a film made me feel so cold! It's a great watch. Long, and very good. What you'd expect from them really.

Finally finshed Manifest, really enjoyed it, albeit had to buy series three from Amazon, as they couldnt show it.
If anyone remotely liked Chicago Med, which we did, have just found New Amsterdam, vey much similar, around 70 odd episodes, the OH likes it, so that helps, stops her talking for a while![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)

Talking about cold (and hungry) I watched Society of the Snow on a flight the other day - possibly not the best location to watch it but a fantastic film.
Nothing wrong with the original but this was a great remake.
Couple of episodes into Eric and enjoying it but not rushing to binge it.

Animated sci-fi thing, lots of weirdness. Did well with critics, very strong style to it, apparently similar to Moebius' work but also reminded me of some Japanese stuff.
You had me at Moebius. I will have to watch thisAnimated sci-fi thing, lots of weirdness. Did well with critics, very strong style to it, apparently similar to Moebius' work but also reminded me of some Japanese stuff.
It is all very odd. And intriguing. And I am captivated.
example of Moebius' work for anyone not familiar:

I've just started watching this and agree with the "unsettling but compulsive" view. It's very out there in terms of Sci-fi with the world creation. Only 2 eps in but it's one of the most original things I've seen on there. Reminds me a bit of Love Death and Robots it's so creative.
Yes, there are elements of that too. ![yes](/inc/images/yes.gif)
Have you seen Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind because you will totally see what I mean if/when you do.
There are also elements of the anime & manga Blame! (the anime is from the same studio who did Knights of Sidonia) in a tangential way.

I haven't seen Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind but my anime/manga viewing history is sparse so no surprise there
I'll add it to the list though (or at least have a look for a clip to see what you mean).
It's a very special film to me, so obviously I would recommend watching it. ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Oh it's on Netflix as well, perfect ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Yes, I think Netflix have all the Studio Ghibli films.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
(Technically Nausicaä pre-dates the formation of Studio Ghibili, but since it is directed by Hayao Miyazaki then it generally included. See https://ghiblicollection.com )
