Don't think I've used ImDB as much during a show - loads of actors where you're thinking "where have I seen them before!!"

Latest being Haley Joel Osment. My word, though.....did he eat Bruce Willis after finishing filming the Sixth Sense?

I thought butcher was Australian? If not and his accent was English then mind blown, probably rate it 1 less on a scale of ten.
New Zealand.

What a great series.

Really enjoyed it.

I'd have let him just use his real accent. No one would care it wasn't English and it wouldn't sound so bad when he swears.

IMDb has some good mini interviews etc with the cast. It’s funny seeing them out of character and costume. Homelander in particular is very different.

Yep. Wouldn’t be surprised if this happens for S2.

I’m sure Karl Urban could do a good ‘generic’ English accent. Just needs to tone down the ‘cockney geezer’.

THat's his English accent. It's the same one he did for SKurge. I think it's pretty good.

I'm fine with the over the top cockney accent. It would be a bad idea to suddenly change it now.

I'm only part way though, but can't help but feel that part of it might be a bit of a social commentary on professional sports teams.

The comparison of the actions of the Vought corporation and the main "supes" with those of the professional sports teams and players seems quite well aligned. More bothered about making money then fighting crime or playing the game.

Really enjoying it though. Looking forward to more entertaining gratuitous violence!

It’s so inconsistent and so close to his normal accent I am not sure you would notice.

They make the same point in this ‘10 reasons to watch’ video...

Warning: it’s spoiler heavy, so probably best to watch after you’ve seen the show.

I always felt vought were more like Disney but the sports team analogy is quite accurate.

Than you for the warning, I'll try to bash through the show so I can watch it.
