Hugh Laurie, with Stephen Fry as 'M', Rowan Atkinson as 'Q', Miranda Richardson as Miss Moneypenny and Tim McInnerny as Tanner.

Clive Owen,
Fassbender,
Dougray Scott,
Idris Elba,
Dan Stevens (off the back of his charismatic and dark performance in The Guest)

Petrus1983 would, he certainly has a way with the girls and extremely hairy legs so his chest must be the same.

I don't think Richard Curtis writes, or casts, Bond movies...

My dear old Mum always said she thought Tiff Needel would make a good Bond.

Colin Salmon - immediately on the first watch of Tommorrow Never Dies I thought he'd make a good Bond.

Clive Owen - rewatched Croupier the other day and remembered he was talked about as the next Bond when that film originally came out.

Luke Evans. Bonus is that he's Welsh so ticks the important box trying to avoid an English actor playing Bond. Plus he's genuinely good in anything he appears in, does the bad ass thing well and does the suave thing equally well.

Definitely!

Another suggestion (sorry if it's already been put forward) - Andrew Scott.

It's a shame in a way he played Moriarty in Sherlock. Always think he'd have been an amazing Bond bad guy.

He was a bad guy of sorts in Spectre.

I thought afterwards, more of a baddy. Didn't realise he had been, makes sense.

Thinking about it possibly for the character of M but Patrick Macnee from the Avengers

Or Michael Billington from UFO

Or lastly Tony Anholt from the The Protectors and Space 1999

I immediately thought of Clive Owen but then thought; nah, he was a bond, wasn't he?

Had to check, and no he wasn't. So I nominate Clive.
