For All Mankind - wow wow wow. I was lucky enough that I could binge season 1 and half of season 2 before catching up with the latest episodes released weekly. The 75 minute finale of season 2 that was released yesterday is an absolute masterpiece. The people working on it should be extremely proud of what they’ve produced. And the teaser for season 3 at the end had my jaw on the floor.
So S2 has finished. Great, I've been holding off so I can binge watch. That's my evenings for the next week sorted.

It is very good. Some of the ‘human interest’ stuff feels like standard American TV drama. But the alternate history space race more than makes up for it.

It's one of the best TV series produced in a long time, looking forward to the SE02 finale tonight!

Saturdays are normally film nights for me but I think I'll make a start on S2 instead. It sound as if it's just as good as S1, perhaps even better.

It's not very realistic though, panic buying of toilet paper would never happen!

The Banker

A young black shoeshine boy develops his business acumen to eventually buy two banks in Texas using a white guy to front his deals.
His partner played by Samual L Jackson ( looking rather overweight these days ) provides support. Based on a true story which underlined the difficulties that race prevented genuine endeavour.
Hardly surprising a real ' wanders off into the sunset ending.....)

I will go so far as saying its the best movie ive seen this year.
10 cents / 10 dollars.

Already mentioned on here, but I've finally got round to watching Home Before Dark this week and thought it was great - new series coming in June too.

Started The Mosquito Coast last night too, first episode seemed promising

I must say, whilst Apple TV+ doesn't have a huge amount of content, what I have seen is really good quality stuff. Much better than a lot of the dross you find on Netflix / Prime.

Yes - very much echoes the views Chez Beano.

Could do with more Little America, that was quite delightful too.

I've got this for a year with my iPad, I've added a few things to the watchlist, I'll see how it goes. At first look I'd agree that the amount of stuff in the Originals tab isn't huge.

I’ve just started a free trial too. Was somewhat surprised by the lack of content but have just got stuck into For All Mankind as recommended above and am enjoying it immensely. Certainly head and shoulders above “Away” on Netflix…

I’d imagine most people with Apple TV are either on a free trial or have it bundled as part of an Apple One subscription.

I’ll see how it’s going in a year. Their “quality over quantity” may be preferable to scrolling through reams of tat on Netflix looking for the odd gem…

I’m on the free subscription until July, but based on what I’ve watched so far I’ll carry on with it - not seen a bad series yet - currently watching ‘Mosquito Coast’ and ‘Trying’ and really enjoying both - loads more I want to see too - whereas I’ve nothing of interest on Netflix or Prime. Definitely quality over quantity with Apple TV+

Just finished S2 of For All Mankind.

Very, very impressive as noted above. And what a teaser for S3…

I have sat through some woeful sci fi on Netflix - “Away” being particularly dreadful so it’s been a pleasure to binge on this - the credibility of the plots and depth of the characters is in a different league.

Yes! I thought S2 was excellent.
