well seeing as Paramount+ is launching in the UK 23rd June I thought it might be an ideal opportunity for a thread related to that, especially as there would appear to be quite a few worthwhile offerings...

too many!!

We share D+, Prime (not just for streaming) and NF with the 'kids'. As we have Sky cinema (it was either free or near as dammit on the last special offer) P+ is free so a no-brainer really. I do think though that at least one or 2 of the plethora available will fail in the not too distant future - as you intimate, too many.

Yellowstone, 1883, Ray Donovan The Movie, and the upcoming 6666 and 1932 are appealing to me so far.

Loving Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. So far removed from the turgid mess of Piccard and the stshow of STD it's hard to believe they were produced by the same company (though in fairness it's early days yet!!)

Halo looks interesting and I've heard good things about Yellowstone...

Just noticed that Halo is being shown tonight at qppm on CH5.

Yellowstone series 1&2 has just been shown on 5 USA so should be available on MY5.

Sorry to say but you have to have Sky Movies to get P+ for free.

Sorry - I didn’t write movies the first time.

I’m still getting rid of it but I wanted to see whether it was worth keeping a £6.99 subscription for.

I'm guessing Top Gun Maverick will be released on this in a few months.

Apart from Halo and Star Trek, pretty slim pickings IMO. Still, at least it’s not tied to my SkyQ box and I can watch on any device.

Just signed up but pretty useless for me as I can’t watch it on anything but my phone! Can’t stream to the TV and the LG store (2021 LGC1) doesn’t have the Paramount Plus app neither does my Series X or PS5!

Wish I’d known that before paying for it.

I couldn't log into it via the app on Sky Q, it said subscriptions are being added as fast as they can.

I had the same thing when clicking on the app. Speak to your remote “get Paramount+” worked. Might have been coincidence

Sorted. Subscription directly with Paramount cancelled, now subscribed through Amazon Prime and can watch it on TV via my membership there. However it’s not 4k, there is no 4k content on the UK version of Paramount Plus.

well that's annoying - both ST:SNW and Halo are only first 3 episodes. The rest drop weekly, even though the US is quite some way ahead of us

Yep- I guess to stop people exploiting the 7 day trial to watch whole series so early on. I’m bummed about that and the whole no 4k thing tbh. It’s not very 2022.

I went through this exact journey, quite annoying, we'll likely bin it after 7 days, not enough for £6.99 a month, tbf to them we only really wanted it for one show and they have only put a couple of seasons up, if they add to the back catalogue over time we'll sign back up

Had to jump through a few hoops to get this set up and working via Sky Q but, got there in the end. Started with 'Super Pumped' with Joseph Gordon-Levitt about the rise of Uber. It has a very strong 'The Social Network' vibe to it, which is no bad thing. Strong cast and well written, I'm already hooked!

It seems there are a lot of shows with only 3 episodes available to start with so, will have to wait a few weeks before I can start to binge!
