Just seen this in Sprint. Will email them this evening.

Details are;

Wednesday 21st September.
£195 for TVRCC member and car.

So looks like near enough / same prices as the May day.

Yippee.

I had a brilliant time a few weeks ago at the TVRCC club track day at Cadwell.

For all you guys who haven't done a track day in your TVR, don't be too precious about it. Take it out on track and let it perform like it was meant to do.

The day will be sessions in the morning with a novice group where you won't be intimidated. It really is a great day.

I will be there in my baby TVR.

Yes it was. With Mrs phazed going to some overpriced restaurant near Pratts Bottom to meet relatives that you don’t want to meet…………

You guys know what I mean.

A nice bottle of white chilling in the fridge ready to ease the pain. wink

Can't do this September....Holidays, family, 'stuff'.

The write up in Sprint sounded great. Hope it runs next year.

Second one they have had this year so likely to have at least one.

If they don't get the remaining 14 people I'd happily pay an extra £70 to make up the difference.

I’m planning on going down there the night before as otherwise it’s a super early start for me.

Anyone got any local hotel recommendations?

The Brackenborough Hotel is the one usually used by the TVR boys (and girls)

A few of us stop at The Bull in Horncastle, highly recommended.

Look forward to catching up on the day.

I think a few more have booked on now too.

9-days to go.

Still hoping to get there but awaiting the bits to fix the car. Having come up with three diferent ways to fix it all three have been effected the same way.

Combination of slow responses from sellers (one replied today after two-weeks), parts posted last month still with Royal Mail awaiting delivery and the posties seemingly not wishing to walk the 20-yards up the street to our house.

Not booked a hotel yet. If nothing has turned up by Saturday I'll pass my place on to those on the reserve list.

That is really annoying Stuart. What parts are you waiting for?

Just waiting till nearer the time and confirmation of a dry day before I bang on my track wheels on the old boxcart..

The fault, well certainly a big fault, was the intank wiring of the two fuel pumps plus level sender.

The tank side of the bulkhead plug was heavily scorched and the connector for the two pumps had broken. The bulkhead plug although heavily blackened is in one peice.

So my Master and I came up with three repair methods given the time constraints involved.

1. Source a new 6-way bulkhead plug that can carry the ampage. Motorsport options were available but £500 each. Found some 4-way plugs and 2-way gland nuts and ordered but only arrived today after 2-weeks in RMails hands. These need a new tank plate being made up.

2. At the same time, a weld-in flange and 6-way plug was found but outside the UK. Australia and Sweden. My in laws in Sweden ordered them for me yesterday - so these will be the long term fix.

3. A second hand tank and wiring was on ebay and the seller took 2-weeks to reply to questions about the condition of the in-tank electrics and if they were included. Not 100% they understood the question but I bit the bullet as this is the simplest repair.

I also ordered some new wire, connectors and fuel hose clamps from CBS. They were despatched the same day but have been in the hands of RMail ever since (again over 2-weeks).

There is the option of soldering the wires directly onto pins on the underside of the existing plug but this is pretty delecate mork and my soldering skills are 'agricultural' at very best biggrin
