TVRCC office taking names now - further details to be available soon. Get your name on the list now to avoid disappointment!
I have rung them and expressed my interest. It's not a commitment to pay, but it helps them gauge interest. And whilst I was at it, I mentioned that Phazed was also interested. Sorry for the cheek, but you know you want to visit just about the best track in the country.
We very nearly lost this event last year, when the club got to the date they had to pay up or cancel, and only had 22 people paid up. Big outcry, and we managed to rustle up a further 23 over the weekend and it went ahead.
It's a fantastic track, really suits TVRs, so express your interest as soon as you can guys. The club will have to decide to run or cancel by about the end of March, so do them a favour, register your interest now.
Telephone number is 01952 822126

I presume there are noise restrictions?
Yes, 105dB at 0.5 of a metre from the tail pipe at 3/4 revs (so 4500 on a Chimaera.)Any RV8 car or previous will pass if they have a standard exhaust. Stupidly loud won’t. I have seen Tuscans, T350s and Sagari on Cadwell, so it only depends on if you have amended the exhaust.

It will be absolutely fine for a novice. From memory they split people up into groups of ability in the morning and usually go to open pitlane in the afternoon iirc.
As long as your exhaust is below the stated level and your car is in sound condition, (decent brake pads, possible change of brake fluid et cetera) all will be well.

I'd like a go at a track day.
Is it suitable for a complete novice like me? Other than turning up in a TVR what are the entry requirements?
I'd strongly recommend getting a few laps early in the day with an instructor - in the past that's been available at no extra cost; makes a big difference to confidence and enjoyment! Is it suitable for a complete novice like me? Other than turning up in a TVR what are the entry requirements?
