After a great Pre 80s Extravaganza at Donington
We are delighted to finally confirm the event for 2018.

Brooklands Museum is an amazing location

Although further south than some may like, we have looked at how we can make this happen.
Firstly we will be holding the main event on the Saturday.
Secondly we have managed to secure a fantastic hotel in the Cotswold area near Bicester where the weekend activities will be based from, this is 1.15min drive to Brooklands museum.
This will allow those from up north to be able to travel down on Friday night and avoid the London M25 Traffic.
The Hotel has agreed a Breakast Buffet from 7am to allow everyone hang over permitting to be fed watered and get down to Brooklands for 9.30.

The Plan is to hold a Gala Dinner at the hotel on the Saturday night and the rates below include the dinner, however anyone local can still join the dinner at £25 per person.
The Room will expand to 120 people if needed.

This Event although a celebration of the early TVRs up to the end of the 70s,its is an event for all lovers of TVR.
As 2018 is the anniversary of the first production convertible TVR there will be a special celebration involving some of the later members of the top down TVR brigade.
We will have special parking display area for all later TVRs within the Museum area and i am sure everyone will enjoy seeing the early cars and there owners embarrassing themselves in the driving experience we are planning.

The Day at Brooklands will be very special as after spending a morning there earlier in the month we will not be just parked up in lines but dotted around the museum area to make the display look like part of the Museum exhibits.
As many i have spoken to have never visited Brooklands before we will also have a treasure hunt which will encourage you to get around the exhibits and see the many treasures there.
Brooklands are donating prizes for the three winners.

Like this year we are also looking at doing extra with the cars and after discussing with Brooklands and the MSA we will be using the re instated Start line area of the old track to both entertain the public use our cars and have some fun, more details will appear as we get final details arranged.
All i will say is many who where lucky to attend the Extravaganzas of the 70s and events of that era who felt this years event had that feeling and atmosphere of the old events many years ago 2018 we are certainly wanting to emulate that here.

With the event in this location we are hoping to attract cars from Europe and i have already had one owner in Norway who is hoping to drive his MK1 Vixen and do a 2800 mile round trip to attend so anyone saying its to far think of that trip.
I must say i am tempted to offer to fly over and share the driving with him.
So maybe the pre 80s event will become an international attraction as the years go by.
This year we had one fly in from Europe and 4 from the USA and next year i already have one booked from the USA who has never attended before so lets make it very special and get as many as possible at this years event.

On the Sunday the Location of the hotel allows for some great drives so the plan is to have a drive out on Sunday morning with a stop for Lunch allowing people to head home early as many will have long journeys.
The Hotel has ample parking for up to 200 cars and we have reserved 40 rooms initially however booking early will not only insure you get a room that you want as there are various options see below, but help us to have some idea of numbers as early as possible.

Thats based on there standard rooms.

So what other costs will the weekend entail.
As last year the only cost other cost will be entry into Brooklands and for TVRCC Club Members this will be £11 none members will pay the normal entry fee which i believe for 2018 is £15.

As 2017 we will be doing special things for the event along with the cost of the driving experience.
However as we want everyone to be able to attend without having to think can they afford it we will be raising funds over the coming months, we already have several sponsors for next year so hopefully all will be covered and we can all enjoy this wonderful weekend together.
