Hi folks

We've done this event various regions in the past and had a great time out, so let's do it again!

The event this year is on the 15th July, starting at 1200 and running until 1600 or so. The details are as follows...

Croydon Village have a combined fate and classic car show every year that has something for all the family! BBQs, live music, pony rides and bouncy castles are only some of a number of stalls and events that are on offer!

We have been invited to attend this year again. So, lets have a great day out & support this local event!

Attendance for display cars (i.e. us) is free!

Hi all!

The TVRCC/MoC monthly meet is this weekend - 15th July.

This weekend however, we have two options.

  • The first is to attend the Shuttleworth meeting as normal and
  • the second is to attend the Croydon Village Classic car show - just outside of Royston (22 minutes from Shuttleworth).
Me and bunch of others are going to the show, aiming to get there for 1030am. The postcode for the show is
SG8 0DL.

The show is free to enter and runs from 1200-1600 (although you can leave when you want).

The weather looks like it is going to be HOT this weekend, so whichever option you select, bring suntan lotion biggrin

Thanks!

Main Show Noon to 3.30pm
Followed by World Cup Final screened in Beer Tent

Calling all Classic Vehicle Owners & Enthusiasts to a Great Day Out
If the NEC Practical Classics Show is good enough for Danny Hopkins then so is the Croydon Cambs Classic Vehicle Show and we are most grateful to Danny – Editor of Practical Classics – for his continued support and we are again looking forward to his unique parade commentary and Prize Giving.

Special for this year we have an early 3.30pm finish for those wanting to rush home for the World Cup Final at 4pm but better still stay and watch it after the Show on the screen in the beer tent.

This show has become a highlight in the regional summer calendar and we are pleased to announce its return for 2018. It has retained its quaint charm and boasts a loyal following and once again all monies raised will help our village to maintain its Village Hall and restore the beautiful mediaeval church of All Saints which sits alongside the show field and will form part of the day’s programme. It is held in a lovely setting and with lots of food, stalls, drinks, games, plants and arena activities there will be lots to do for the whole family, including vehicle parades, commentary, judging and prizes. Church displays will include local history, art, and a celebration of 100 years of the RAF.

For those who don't already know, Croydon is a small village set on a hill in beautiful South Cambridgeshire countryside. The village lies about 7 miles north of Royston on the A1198 and about 1 mile west of Arrington.

And you won't even miss Wimbledon which will be on show in the beer tent - followed by the World Cup Final after the Vehicle Show has finished

Note Show Cars & Drivers enter FREE. Show car arrivals from 10.30 a.m. and before noon, please. No need to stay at home for breakfast as once again bacon butties & tea/coffee will be available near the signing in desk.

Not working tomorrow so can make this one. I'll see you all there at 10:30. As my route takes me to the A1198 /A505 R/B turn off I can't be arsed to travel on another 7miles to meeting point. Plus I've got to get past the queues for the Duxford Air Show. Erm, I could be late.

Go down to Clavering then around Langley way. Will bypass all the queues from Saffron

Good idea. I'll go via Audley End & Barley on B1039 to Royston. Should be a nice drive out on those lanes. Still see you at Croydon village about 10:30.
