TVRCC Season Opener 2018 - Cambs Run In (all welcome)
Discussion
Hi All,
Following the success of last year's run-in (30+ cars from multiple regions) I'm once again organising something similar for this year.
Meeting Point Details:
SUNDAY 8th APRIL From 09:00am for 09:30am departure. There's plenty of space in the car park with a tea wagon usually on site. There's also a Costa Coffee next door. Mind the speed bump on the way in, and please respect the 10mph speed limit in the car park.
B&Q
Priors gate,
Eaton Socon,
St Neots,
CAMBRIDGESHIRE.
PE19 8EL
Map:
The Route:
TBC - After 2 years (despite research prior to last last year) of finding ourselves surrounded by cyclists, I'm looking to switch it up a bit this year, but with the aim of keeping it to about 45mins. As soon as I have a plan I'll update this.
Best Regards,
Olly

Hi All,
Sorry for the delay in responding. I've just done a final check for cycling events, and wouldn't you know it.......! A cycling event that was meant to be held last month got postponed due to bad weather is now happening on Sunday, in the usual place.
So, I'm planning to take the same initial route as last year, UNTIL we get to Great Gidding, where this year we'll turn left at the Post Office crossroads in the village, and head out towards Hemington.
So, the planned route will now be:
B&Q St Neots
A1 N'bound for 1 junction
Hail Weston
Staughton
Kimbolton
Catworth
Cross over A14
Old Weston
Winwick
Great Gidding
Hemington
Polebrook
Oundle (A605 Roundabout, then A605 N'Bound for 1 junction)
Fotheringhay
Nassington
Wansford
Join A1 N'Bound to Stamford
Burghley House
See you all on Sunday.

Hi All,
Thanks you all for turning up and making the convoy worth while yesterday. I was impressed with the numbers in light of the weather. I hope you all enjoyed it, and that the modified route was satisfactory. I hear that we lost a few off the back, but as I understand it that happened in/near Nassington which was one village from where we re-joined the A1 anyway - so nothing missed really.
Any feedback is welcome and I'll try to incorporate any suggestions into any future running of the 'run in'.
Best Regards,
Olly
P.S. Thanks to Stuart who shared his video of us passing through Winick: https://www.facebook.com/stuart.northrop/videos/10...
