High Peak Nomads TVRCC meet Sun 1pm 24th Sept at Crowdicote
Discussion
Hello Nomads!
Apologies for the late notice re this month's meet, but I have been too preoccupied with basking in the euphoric afterglow of an epic S Club Tour of Scotland and then the trip to the opposite end of the UK for the full Goodwood Revival weekend to witness the public reveal of the new TVR Griffith LE - AWESOME!
As well as some great racing, there were some amazing old aeroplanes, fab retro atmosphere and fashion ( love the miniskirts and hotpants* ) great entertainment and lots of MUD! ( It should have been called Goodwoodstonbury! )
This was followed by an extended stay for a bit of Naval ( not navel! ) history and a tour of HMS Victory, the amazing Mary Rose display, a look at HMS Warrior, and a grand tour of Portsmouth Docks in a catamaran.
The Royal Navy's new flagship to be, a new aircraft carrier the Queen Elizabeth was also there awaiting commissioning.
After all this excitement, I'm afraid I have failed to comply with Nelson's signal at Trafalgar and neglected to do my duty.
Oh well, better late than never, as they say... Whoever 'they' are?
This month we return to the welcoming charms of the Pack Horse at Crowdicote, where our hosts Mick ( T350i ) & Shaz serve quality food and very well-kept ales.
And wine for the ladies and Kia.
Let Richard know if you would like to reserve a seat at our table, we will be meeting there at 1 pm this coming Sunday, 24th September.
The postcode is SK17 0DB. Keep to the 50mph speed limit on the A515 and watch out for the twisty bit after the turn off to the right signposted 'Crowdicote'. It can catch out the unwary!
If the weather is kind, perhaps we could do a little run out after lunch???
Hope to see you all there.
