High Peak Nomads TVRCC meet Wed 6pm 30th August at Combs
Discussion
Sorry it's a bit late notice this month, but things have been pretty hectic lately around here.
I've only just started recovering from Kia's Cultural Tour of Manchester, incorporating the delIghts of the Northern Quarter.
I believe it was a great success, but then I didn't get to read the Sunday papers, so it's anybody's guess what actually happened...
A great big thanks to Kia for her exemplary planning and keeping us within the mission profile boundaries. Well, mostly, anyway. I don't think getting glenrobbo superglued to the bar table was part of her plan. Getting that table through the narrow entrances of subsequent bars could have been a problem. Nuff said! ( Pity we parted company, I was quite attached to thathe table. )
Have you any idea how hard it is for me to type all this bumph with enormous multicoloured talons superglued to my forefingers?
Anyway, back to the main purpose of this post...
Hope you've all been brushing up on your footwork and stick- bashing skills, just in case the Morris Dancers need our help again!
This month's meet is at the quaint watering hole of The Beehive at Combs, SK23 9UT.
It's signposted off the old Whaley Bridge to Chapel-Henry-the-Fifth road, the B4570 or something like that. The turn off is just at the Hanging Gate pub.
Don't forget your face black, ankle bells and whacking sticks, just in case the Morris Team turn up.
I hope we haven't scared them off permanently after our last two run-ins with them.
As usual, if you want food, best to let Richard know so he can book a table and some extra chilli for Mike.
6pm o'clock, or 18:00 hrs BST, whichever comes first! Wednesday 30th August, 2017 in the year of Our Lord Anno Domini
