Do not SORN your cars at the end of September- you will not only miss Wentworth Woodhouse but also:
A weekend driving in the Majestic Welsh Hills, starting with breakfast at the “Shady Oak” country inn, Fernilee in the High Peak. Travelling through, mainly, the back lanes of Cheshire, but a bit of dual carriage way to by-pass Northwich and Chester, before heading into Snowdonia. Passing through the National Park, taking in part of the Evo Triangle, before stopping for lunch. (TBA).
The afternoon we will head south via Bala, Lake Vernwy to Montgomery, where will have an overnight stop at the Dragon Hotel.
Sunday morning we will visit the Cloverlands Model Car Museum and if time allows, Monty’s Brewery. Leaving after lunch we will head back through Staffordshire skirting Shrewsbury, Stone, Cheadle, before hitting our old “stomping ground” and passing through Longnor, to Buxton – over Long Hill and finishing at the “Shady Oak”, Fernilee.
