Chatsworth Gathering Saturday run, 1st October
Discussion
As you know its the season finale the Chatsworth Gathering on Sunday 2nd of October. But don't forget the Chatsworth run out on Saturday the 1st, not to be missed.
The meeting point for the run is the stunning Chatsworth house DE451PN, meeting at approximately 10am and starting the run at exactly 10:30am.
Once again we have special permission to drive through the park and out of the Golden Gates. This run takes us through some of the best of the Peak District scenery, and on some of the best driving roads in the area.
We have turn points which are great for those videoing and re-group points for some superb photo opportunities.
Lunch stop is the delightful Pavilion Gardens in Buxton SK176BE http://www.paviliongardens.co.uk/. And the shorter afternoon run takes in the lovely tourist town of Bakewell and onto our spectacular finish point at the Monsal Head pub DE451NL http://www.monsalhead.com/. This is one of the most photographed locations in the Peak District.
Maps and more details to follow.
START LOCATION CHATSWORTH HOUSE ( over the bridge and into the main public car park )
Then out like Royalty through the Golden Gates
Photo opportunity near Mam Tor at Castleton

LUNCH STOP......we are booked in at the lovely Pavilion Gardens cafe/restaurant. Look for the reserved tables with the Union Jack flags on them.
Parking will not be on the Prom as in the past due to a large Marquee but we will be parking in the Park on Broad Walk. This is a pedestrian walk way through the park.
Looking at the aerial photo Broad Walk is the larger path just to the right of the lake in the Park.
The Pavilion Gardens with the café/restaurant in the larger building.

Lunch at the Pavilion Gardens Buxton.
After parking in the Park on Broad Walk just walk through the Park towards the large Marquee. The Pavilion café/restaurant is the large building just to the right of the Marquee. We have reserved seating inside for as many as we need. You don't need to book, just turn up on Saturday and join us.

I am sure you miss your Chim Kev,, but my god that Tuscan looks good !, only helped a little by the stunning back drops.
Must get over the Strines from Penistone more often, especially now it is smooth, great roads. I will do the run when not working .
Have a great run out!
