I just wondered what people's thoughts are about the possibility of rain at the weekend and all the doom and gloom about not going if its raining.
I personally think we should support these events whatever the weather. These events can take months of planning and work and effort to put together. This is our biggest TVR gathering on the calendar, surely we should be supporting it.
Or do you agree with the view " if its raining im not going " I can understand the rainy one at Chatsworth when the rain was coming down horizontally.

I am going regardless. After all we do live in England which the weather is a little bi-polar anyway. Looking forward to seeing what is on display.. oh and the food market. burger

Unfortunately Kev, I will not be going if there is rain, I don't mind cold and windy, but not rain, I won't derive any pleasure from driving cautiously for over 160 miles with the roof on!

I'll be watching the forecast like a hawk for the next few days. It's about 2hrs away for me and so long as it will be dry for the journey there or the journey back I'll be going. If it is going to be miserable weather all day I'll have to pass as it just won't be a fun journey.

Here's hoping for some spring sunshine!

This was a similar topic we had last night at a mid week meet we had. One of the concerns was if heavy rain prior the event it causes problems of wet muddy field for entry/exit.

I'll be going anyway and see what happens,I agree with what you're saying.

My main problem is the wife who will not trudge around in a wet cold muddy field all day smile

Agreed - the house is well worth looking round and the Orangery is very pleasant for coffee and cake.

Weather outlook definitely improving. I'm going in the T350, with no rain forecast it's likely to be one of the best events of the year :-)
